V8Central uses an IRC channel so users can chat to each other, interactively, online.

Here's the steps for joining us in our brand new chat room (choose the section that suits you best) :

1. I don't want to install any software, I just want to chat

Click here to popup the chat in a new window, you just need to select a username and login. You will have to : authorise the Java class download type in your nickname wait a few seconds for the connection to be established

2. I want to install some custom IRC software to chat to others

3 easy steps : Download the client software by clicking here Install the software by following the prompts After installation click on the "V8Central Chat" icon (Start -> Programs -> mIRC -> V8Central Chat) The first time you use the program you'll have to specify a Nickname and click "Connect to IRC Server", the rest is easy.

3. I know about IRC, I just want the IRC settings to connect

Server Name : irc.myhomeintexas.us Port No : 6667 Room : #v8central

That's it - you're online !
