Just on the radio... 7 Mazda's have been damaged and 2 need to be replaced for the celebrity race...

And this only in morning practice!!

(Any suggestions of a better spot for this feel free and I'll move it...)

True, however all that self promoting Ten does over the weekend, myself and probably just about any real motor racing fan doesn't give two ****s about.

Waste of time, effort and money. Get the GTs back on. Or the historic Tasman open wheel racing. Or TCM. Any real racing series.

The F1 support race offering was anorexic as **** this year.

These crashing idiots don't even cater to the lowest common denominator, because only motorsport fans are watching and they switch off with this ****.

100% agree. Their driving standard is beyond a joke, how they got an ACTUAL CAMS license is beyond me. If I did half the stuff they did in those races in my OLT test, I would have been told to not come back.

Pathetic. Terrible racing, by absolute novices that should not be on the track. Driving in to each other in a straight line, turning straight down on people not even knowing they are there... Even if you are new to racing and just obtained you CAMS license, you have the common sense to know who is around, not just driving like you are the only one on the track and not even paying attention to someone directly beside you. Their accidents were pure stupidity, inexperienced and dangerous. CAMS need to pick up their act with that. And not just give them a license because they need 20 odd cars lined up on the grid and don't have time to find other people.

Especially in race 2 I think (?? on the Saturday) where one of them was basically driving straight in to all of them and then ended up in the sand trap at turn 3 right at the end.

And to think they have their license for the year and so can come back to any CAMS events and participate... :(

Think, Alan Jones, Mick Doohan, Wayne Gardner, Daryl Beattie, Garry McCoy, Troy Bayliss, Glenn Seton, John Bowe, Larry Perkins, Jim Richards, Tony Longhurst, etc etc. Would probably generate better racing, more public interest and less damaged cars!

PS: Even throw Colin Bond and Tim Schenken in there and let a few scores be settled. LOL

I think B grade is overestimating their standard by a wide margin. Agree it would be more in keeping with the idea of motor sport, but then that would reduce their ability to spruik their own network programs. Considering the race started at 5.00pm, they were always going to struggle to fill a whole day with motor sport or related material. They were lucky they had the postponed qualifying this morning and some short V8 races, but its a looooooooooong day!

While I do see the benefit in promoting the driver training that they have, the driving standards (or lack thereof) on the track seems to suggest that the driver training has turned them into no brain idiots on the road.

I like your idea HiTone. I'd rather see that.

It would be better if he was destroying them in India at the moment.

A bit of carnage in race 2, a couple of cars will struggle to be on the grid for race 3.

Ahh yes the old Hodge conundrum. The man who made a double ton in one test and then gets sacked in the next. The selectors didnt have a clue 8 years ago and still dont.

Anyway back to the topic, how many cars wont be on the grid tomorrow surely 1 or 2 wont make it
Sonic Posted - 16 Mar 2013 : 16:35:56
and perhaps a new racesuit... was a decent hit!

actually for anyone looking at buying a 6 it was prob a good advertisement that it actually can take a fairly high impact and hold together well...

"radiator issues" There's probably a need to do a seat replacement for the driver as well

and didn't they say they had 2 spares which have already been used... so with the one with the radiator issues you'd think that would be out for further racing?

they are hoping to have 3 cars left in the final race so that they can fill the podium...

Oh god the commentary is terrible.
Not to mention Darryl Beattie's awkward paddock interviews.
