Why is all this speculation in Silly 2019. It should be in Silly 2020........

Anyway, if Chaz does announce his 2020 contract during 2019, there are other teams on the radar for him to join. At least two with Mustangs and at least one with Commodore and yet another with an unannounced model. All these choices have been the subject of rumour except for a second Mustang at 23Red, which is just wishful thinking on my part.

These is also the perennial rumours starting again about Tickford and the number of cars they will run.

23red have confirmed one car for 2019 so I guess that it now off topic also.

Fixed.

I think this would be fantastic for the series. JC in a fast car, with absolutely no championship ambitions could be extremely entertaining to watch.

Until a suitable and readily available vaccine is operational I fear this will drag on longer than the
government is predicting.

I am not a doctor nor a medical experts, but one would think that Australia would have to
flatten the curve of infection to a rate that is minimal for it re-emerging before any of the
major restrictions are lifted - including spectators at sporting events.

This is the 'new normal' for the foreseeable future.

It's certainly looking that way. Until the whole country goes into lockdown and the number of new cases per day drops to zero, Supercars will NOT restart.

I just see the BTCC has been suspended until at least the end of June. I expect Supercars to follow suit soon...

Supercars driver James Courtney has elected to depart Team Sydney, effective immediately.

gWe have not been able to agree on the way forward, so I have decided to depart the team. I wish Team Sydney all the best for the future,h Courtney said.

Note "I have decided to depart the team."

Even Courtney says it was his decision..

Obviously others on this Forum know things that even the media haven't published.

I am prepared to take Courtney at his word, on that point.

And I will leave it there.

Still haven't explained how you came to the conclusion JC broke the contract.

The only commitment that we KNOW was broken was Courtney's agreement to drive for Team Sydney.

Did Courtney break it or did Team Sydney and Courtney walked?

The only evidence we have is that Courtney walked.

So we/you don't know who broke their commitment?

Courtney walked due to non payment from Tekno!

this is a good quote to sum up the last few posts you've made actually.

That is right. Opinion is not Fact. It is hypothetical.

One thing that is absolute FACT is that Courtney committed to race a season for Team Sydney, but he has left the team.

A second FACT is that Team Sydney have another driver plus sponsor to replace him.

Then comes an opinion: Team Sydney is better off now.

Unless we are actually provide with some credible statements from both participants, then I see no point in further discussion of hypotheticals.

Now, back to 2020 and real factual developments relating to Supercars.

No one is disputing those facts. They are disputing your claim that it was Courtney that broke the contract.
