Oh, dear. This is the third time we've had this conversation, but once more won't hurt. Yes, I've said I listen to Alan Jones. Ten minutes here and there. I'm a dial twiddler when I'm driving and Alan Jones is part of the mix. It's a perverse thing with me. I listen and wonder how anyone can seriously believe what he believes, and how so many people can ring him to tell him that he's wonderful and should be running the country. Remember?

If after all I've said about Alan Jones, you query if I'm a Jones supporter, I'll just add it to the list of things that you just don't get. OTOH, you tell us that you're not a supporter and you don't listen to him. Funny, eh?

Well...most people would recognise that if you listen to certain radio station and announcer on a regular basis then you are a supporter....itís fairly simple really....if folks like your self donít listen, sponsors wonít be advertising and he wonít have a show.

Ok mate ?

EDIT to add after your post below:
No, you don't get it. I'm not a regular listener and I'm certainly not a supporter. That's now four times.

I read your posts but I'm not a supporter. Does that help? I didn't think so.

Does anyone on this Forum actually listen to AJ broadcasting?

I only hear news snippets when his mouth runneth over, and far too many such occurrences.

The trick is to record the NEWS and make frequent use of the fast forward facility.

Unfortunately, like many fallible humans, it intrigues me that such a dick head can be paid millions to spread airwaves fertiliser.

Mind, you he does have a history of coaching Rugby players to handle balls. Maybe he was trying to teach at the time he was arrested in that British Public Toilet.

Probably it was all innocent and he convinced the Police that he was just reading the toilet walls to gather material for his Radio show.

Oh yes, djr18. Probably his favourite topic - and he has a favourite guest (Alan has favourites) called Lord Monckton who regards himself as a world authority on non-climate change. Lord Monckton is a caricature of himself, so when he and Alan get together, you have two caricatures waffling on about how wind turbines are really noisy and make people sick, and how the world has infinite supplies of coal, and how lots more carbon dioxide is good for the planet. It's funny, but depressing at the same time. You really should have a google about Alan's favourite guest. He's a classic.

I'll post a couple of links to give you an idea:

He is doing something right to have as many listeners as he does

Maybe the CSIRO could measure the Alan Jones contribution to climate change by measuring the volume of hot air well laced with bull**** that he produces.

I don't think the CSIRO have anything to measure the negative integrity of Alan. It doesn't need a sensitive instrument.

Jacinda Ardern was on breakfast radio in NZ this morning, and she was asked about that man with all the integrity, Alan Jones.

"I don't have an opinion on every single person who says something about me, particularly given that this is an Australian commentator. We have enough of our own to occupy my time", and... "so let's just say that revenge is best served through a Bledisloe Cup."

If AJ had it said it about a male, I donít think it would be an issue....clearly the feminist movement has a bit to go yet to get clear parity
Legendary Gerry Posted - 18 Aug 2019 : 15:01:39
I don't think intergrity and Alan Jones should ever be mentioned at the same time, unless as a reference as to what not to do.
