I think Ford re-committing is a indicator of what Penske will do, however, I would expect them to dominate the news cycle by not confirming their ongoing participation until Oct or so....

For all those who say Ford is not committed without any data to backup their comments!!

That's an even better load of nonsense!!

gotta agree with you Joe.

if Penske wanted McLaughlin (as their sole purpose) then they would only have to open their wallet and he would have been gone (assuming that is what Scott wanted.

there is no reason for him to spend millions on our little domestic series just to gain one person.

Exactly. If all they wanted was McLaughlin then there were far easier ways to achieve that.

That's a concern...

After the 3rd lot of changes to the Mustang last year, Tim Cindric said they (Penske) will be having a long hard look at their future in the series.
Their decision will also have a huge influence on Ford's future commitment. No Penske, no Ford USA!
And Ford Australia won't have a say and really don't want to be involved anyway!
Supercars has bought this on themselves, albeit, COVID-19 has probably helped make their decision, which I reckon has already been made but won't be released until after Bathurst 1000 weekend!

Such a load of nonsense!

Not often I agree with Bigem but Penske have done what they came here to do and Ford will be exiting with them, maybe not 2021 but certainly soon after.

The nonsense being a few parity adjustments (which TP have already admitted they knew where coming) will have any factor in TP decision to stay or leave!

There are another couple of Ford teams. It would cost Ford nothing to allow a Ford badge to be run on their existing homologated silhouettes.

It's a bit hard to commit to something if there may not be anything to commit to.

All good points M, but if Roland and Ryan Walky aren't on the blower to Ford right now.......they have rocks in their head!
