One for the skeptics:

On time scales of hundreds of thousands to millions of years, carbon dioxide concentrations in the air have varied hugely, and so has global climate.

Why not, everything in this country seems to revolve around not offending aboriginals, gays and muslims, and they are all very small minorities.

Oh, I don't know...seems that evangelical conservative Christian minority currently holds all the trump cards for mine...

Coronavirus has temporarily reduced China's CO2 emissions by a quarter

Looks like coronavirus has helped the climate so far! People avoiding airlines and cruise ships would help too.

Why isn't anyone saying corona virus is fake and created by scientists to get government grants?

The off topic flag was raised many pages ago.
There is no need to repeat it, in fact, it can incur a penalty...

That is a great article, cuts through the bs....

You won't hear this side of the argument in Newscorp either-

It's almost like science, with all its gathered data knows more about how climate works than Karen who is convinced it was this hot in the 60's and therefore no issue exists.

Anyone listening to what this Australian professor had to say about climate change over a decade ago knew this fire season was going to be intense:

Not sure where you all are based, but I hope you, your family and friends stay safe today.

Looks like it will be horrific

Don't worry. Apparently Fireworks and Fireworks started fires do not add to warming.

quote:
The New Year's Eve family fireworks at Elder Park in Adelaide's CBD almost ended in disaster when a section of reeds along the River Torrens caught fire last night.

Footage of the fire was posted online last night, showing reeds stretching along the River Torrens catching alight just to the north of the footbridge in the Adelaide CBD.

The incident occurred following the 9:00pm fireworks at the Elder Park celebrations near Adelaide Oval in front of about 50,000 people. ...

Key points:
Fire crews extinguished the blaze within minutes with the help of firework technicians

There were calls to cancel the fireworks in the Adelaide CBD

It comes as a number of bushfires continue to burn across the state

It comes after numerous calls last week to cancel the fireworks display due to the potential fire risk and as a mark of respect to South Australian bushfire victims.
