There is a Targa, probably CAMS regulated, in the Cairns region.

Channel 70 tonight showed dashcam footage of four Porsche driving competitors on a transport stage.

This was on a road open to the public.

The drivers appeared to be racing or at least travelling at excessive speeds and crossing double lines to pass cars. The fourth car cut it almost too fine with oncoming traffic.

Bad move guys.

I haven't found this in the motoring press, but surely these drivers should be excluded from the event and have their competition licences suspended or cancelled.

It is likely that the Queensland Police will be looking at their civilian driving licences and reducing their bank balances.

I think it reminds all of us of our 20's.

Sometimes I look back and wonder how the hell I survived them.

Multiple accidents, but never a write off fortunately. I guess I never really learnt!

The Gillies Range where they were snapped is one of the narrowest, extremely twisty roads in Australia.
There's the mountain on one side that is usually about 1-2m off the asphalt and the other is a very steep drop again only a couple of metres away from the asphalt.
That being said, it would be a real drivers' road if it were to be closed.
Those people need the book thrown at them.
