It has been interesting observing Newscorps attempt to direct the fires narrative away from climate change with several angles that have been widely challenged. Last week a Newscorp senior executive questioned the organisations intent, but this week no less than a Murdoch family member is asking who’s interest the media giant serves! This will be interesting to watch https://www.smh.com.au/national/james-murdoch-breaks-ranks-over-climate-change-denial-20200115-p53rie.html?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Facebook#Echobox=1579008300

It's even more interesting to observe all the cracks appearing - not only in Murdoch's fake news, but in those other places where the neanderthals and troglodytes dwell: The Coalition, 2GB... ScoMo, even! He seems to be having a "road to Damascus" enlightening. It'd be better if he believed what he was saying, rather than just his usual spiel of saying what he thinks will help his poll figures - which have been sinking fast recently. Better than nothing though, and as more Coalition MPs get the stark reality that this planet is warming and that mankind is a big part of it, we'll see more slipping away from hanging onto the remaining few strands of ignorance. Don't worry about Craig Kelly, George Christensen and the monkeys at Sky. They'll have their fingers in their ears to the very end.

I found the arsonists one the most worrying. Trying to say we had hundreds of arsonists running around the country is irresponsible for a start but it was just another deflection by the Murdoch press.
Once again they were shot down by the people in the know. I'm over their BS. Everytime a media organisation tells blatant lies they should be fined and fined heavily as well as having to put a full page retraction on their front page.

The BoM thing was another beauty. The BoM discarded those records because of the inaccuracy of the how they recorded in the first place

Yeah it was interesting seeing how they're were burying the fire news deep in their newspapers while the rest had it front cover, as it should be for a disaster such as this.

Then the blame of arsonists which completely ignored the facts of the situation. Then you had people on social media spouting rubbish that BOM records were falsified in order to push their narrative.

Can someone explain to me what the BOM has to gain by falsifying records?

Newscorp has been praying on the weak minded and seems to be succeeding which sadly goes to show how little individual thought exists in this country.

They are a genuine cancer to progress.
