No. Seton WAS asked back by HRT for 2009. Seton, foolishly, turned down the offer to become fulltime engineer for D'Alberto and drive the #55 Bottle-O car with Tony at Bathurst.

Mid-year, Seton had an issue with D'Alberto Snr and pulled out. At that point, no seats were left in the Enduro-Merry-Go-Round.

No doubt, Skaife was an influence in securing Seton in 07, but let's not forget Glenn was quicker than Todd Kelly throughout the week and he did finish 3rd with Courtney in 2006... so he came back in 08.

HRT did make him an offer for 09 but he chose the Bottle-o car instead.

I don't think it has actually been proven that 888 got the tyres wrong. Whereas all those other cases were proven.

The progress Tander has made is pretty good. He had the car to be upfront in the Middle East, but he must've ran over a black cat.

I agree in the sense that in Whincup stuffs up one of the Ford guys will take over, but I wont be worried if that happens. I would much rather see Courtney, Winterbottom, or Van Gisbergen in the lead even if it means Holden wont.

There were a couple of incidents that were taken care of by the stewards,that's their job and they did it, but to call it a demolition derby is taking it a bit too far.

There was a little panel damage & rubbing but mostly this was because of consequential damage of trying to get around an incident in a tight field,the cars involved directly in any of the incidents were relatively damage free.

Racing incidents will always happen as you know for whatever reason, its a part of racing that will never disappear & usually people will have different opinions of any particular incidents, but its highly unfair of anybody who wasn't there to form an opinion based on just the TV coverage alone.

Has that been tried? I would find it highly improbable if that was allowed to occur as you could change the 5 litre for a six litre with the same dyno sheets and thereby get around testing regs. VESA would be right across that, and if not they would shut-it down in a hurry.

One thing that VESA need to look at is the ban on V8 Supercars running with any other cars on the day. I knew of one team that set-up a ride day with some other sedans planned to attend to help share the hire cost of the circuit, however it was not allowed due to some obscure VESA regulation. The new team will take part in this year’s series which kicks start in Sao Paolo, Brazil on March 14th. The Lotus-Cosworth IndyCar will be piloted by former Formula 1 driver Takumo Sato. Lotus also said that the race car will be treated to the company’s classic green and yellow colour scheme.

Donkman is right, they all are chasing the podium. But I see it as a realistic chace of actually getting on it.

Between Tander, Courtnry, Whincup, Forsty, Holdsworth. Where was the space and speed for Murphy to get ahead of these drivers and get on the podium. It's the same I've been saying about FPR, you have to get infront of the competion to beat them. Almost there is not good enough as you are just falling further behind.

And some one said, Wrighty I think, That we can't judge his performance becasue of car failures. Then we can't say he could have finished top 3 either.


When Murphs car went to 7 cylinders on Saturday he was already effectively in 3rd. Courtney was following him through the field.

There was no such thing as a LJ 'XU2". If anything, the V8 LJ was to be called a V8 XU1. The XU2 moniker appeared briefly on the SLR/5000 fibreglass mock up but was later rejected. IIRC, XU2 code ended up being a modification on the ute/van series.

BC Motorsport announces major signings
BC Motorsport has had a weekend of highs. After winning their first race on Saturday it was announced the team has gained $400,000 dollars from sponsors and good results.

With this money it means the teams main drivers until the enduro's will be James Courtney and Garth Tander with tech help from the strong Dick Johnson Racing. We had to use Whincup for a one off this weekend to save 50K, and with the asking price from Tander dropping we got him in. And with the money saved their we were able to get DJR on board to give us some data. More details in the following days will come
