Tony Windsor would get voted back in, in a heart beat, if he runs again.

In the last 3 years there has only been 14 official complaints about his time in office, and they all came from outside his electorate!!

His constituents apparently love him, and I'm not surprised with how much money has been spent on his patch!!

I just watched Joe Hockeys bit on the ABC, and he was less than convincing and Chris Bowen made him look like a clod!! Not somebody who inspires confidence as posssibly being Australia's next Treasurer!!

New Commodore Hey! So you used your own money? Would you like to buy a used bridge?

After all, you dribble the same old spiel over and over again. I guess that makes you less credible too.

I'll give you a pass on that one considering you're a labor supporter with a PM that enjoys partaking in gutter style politics.

Nah, just like the debate tonight, no-one really delivered a knock-out blow which really is a win to the coalition since they are ahead in the polls.

To respond to Bruce in the NRL thread: it is probably the single hardest loss I have had to deal with at Souths to lose Bully. Much worse than Sam Burgess as he didn't symbolise Souths as Bully did. I think a lot will underestimate just how much a loss he will be to Souths but I fully understand how engrossed he is with NZ and I think given that he will make the successful transition that others haven't.

Agreed. I reckon Hockey is not as smart as he thinks he is and Bowen is probably smarter than he gets credit for.

But how does $180K chair study relate to the climate change fund?

Turns out it was the Department of Human Services that spent the money - but still a major waste.

I didn't see it, but if Chris Bowen made Joe Hockey look like a clod, then poor Joe must have been utterly hopeless. Speaking of being someone who doesn't inspire confidence as Treasurer, Chris Bowen looks and sounds less inspiring and less confident than Billy Mac Mahon. As Treasurer, Bowen makes Swan look like a genius.

Interesting article here about whether Rudd's return has actually been worth it or whether Gillard would have improved her and her party's fortunes. I'm intrigued by a possible scenario, how slim it may be though, that in the event of a marginal win by Labor but Rudd loses his seat, will a sitting MP give him their seat? Not to sure they will as they might be happy to see the back of him but it would certainly be a historical moment as usual party protocol would have them instructing an MP to make way for the PM to take their spot.

Well at least labor insiders and officials had the wits about them to go off the record in that regard but that isn't to say, if results don't go their way on election night, that they will show that sort of restraint then.

do you know how easy it is to write 'labor insiders said", who is going to check them, who is going to challenge them, it would be piss easy to do that and get no challenges.

people believe to much of the **** written and spoken in the media, and it is hard to sort the **** from the clay
