I think you're having a senior moment - like I sometimes do. Being a rusted-on Labor supporter is fine, but posting the same stuff you've posted before is not just rusted-on - it's rusty. Have you got something more recent? As for your favourite, not that I'm into 'Gospel Truth', but could you have a word with your leader? Maybe she needs some of those carefully prepared and scripted remarks. She mightn't keep telling those porkies if she did. On second thoughts, I doubt that'd work.

Oh, and BTW. I'm as anti-Tony Abbott as you. I just don't need to unearth old stuff to remind me that I am.

Probably have a point there Zec. It's old news like pink batts and BERs.

Ford fans be proud. History of Australian motor racing shows Ford has been and will always be superior. They have to slow them down when they get serious about racing. The Phase 4 scared the **** out of people, they banned it. Sierra gets called on a technicality, Falcon EF "...had its wings clipped to make Holden part of the show", AU not allowed to show it's potential, Falcon BF gets clipped. Mustang Is so good Supercars made up a rule and gets a bag of cement in the roof, and it still wins.

For those of you who piss and moan about how tough you have it under the current Government, take 60 minutes or so and watch this:

Finally some common sense and logic is being used and put out there about the negative effects of a carbon tax by the media from one of our most respected and accomplished business thinkers in David Murray when he says that:

"“The consequence of introducing that tax at that level in Australia today is very, very bad for this economy, particularly in terms of international competitiveness.

“It raises costs further within Australia, it reduces our competitiveness for export of energy-related commodities, and it therefore renders us less competitive in the future.”

How true...

Why is David Murray "outgoing"?

There is no doubt old Tony is in the running to be a rocket scientist, isn't he?

quote:
TONY Abbott has been caught agreeing with Germaine Greer's nasty comments about Prime Minister Julia Gillard's dress sense.

Video of the Opposition Leader laughing at the Prime Minister’s choice of jackets has emerged just as the Coalition has been appealing to female voters by offering the prospect of subsidies for the employment of nannies.

Mr Abbott has now apologised for his comments, reported The Sydney Morning Herald.

"It was an off-the-cuff response to an observation from a member of the public. I shouldn't have said it and I regret it," he said.

The Opposition Leader was in the Victorian town of Sale on Tuesday afternoon when he walked into an enthusiastic reception from locals in a hall.

“Get some of those jackets off her,” said a woman in the crowd, referring to Ms Gillard.

“I know, I know, I know,” laughed Mr Abbott in reply as he walked into the community forum.

“Germaine Greer was right on this subject.”

The Libs are certainly going well in the "winning the female vote" arena, first this bit by Tony (above) and now this:
quote:
A SOUTH Australian Liberal MP who last year called Prime Minister Julia Gillard a dog has been ejected from state parliament after suggesting a minister should be "put down".

Michael Pengilly was sin-binned during question time on Thursday for his interjection directed at Transport Services Minister Chloe Fox.
The minister was answering a question related to late bus services in Adelaide which prompted Mr Pengilly to interject that she "ought to be put down".

Speaker Lynn Breuer kicked him out of the chamber for 15 minutes over the comment but Ms Fox said she wanted an apology.
She described the comment as "outrageous" and a reflection on the whole Liberal Party.

"Once again the member for Finniss and his classy comments about the ladies," Ms Fox said.

"That is outrageous. Why should any woman in this parliament stand here and be insulted by the member for Finniss again and again and again."

Mr Pengilly also caused a stir last year when he called Prime Minister Julia Gillard "a real dog" in a tweet.

He later apologised for the comment.

She seriously didn't..... Yep, being a single women prime minister, is as hard as being not only the first black president and all the pressure that comes from that, but also having to live in a country that is still highly volatile with regards to race and the discrimination both from the public and certain media outlets 'i'm looking at you fox news' that he deals with on a daily basis.
