Now, now. There's enough self-interest in all parties that there is no political party that can claim that title on its own.

40% of his colleagues want him gone, its just a matter of time as that number will grow as he drops more bombshells and clangers.

He is an out of touch fool and telling us he is a great leader just reinforces my initial comment.

The ONLY thing that saved him is that the Libs don't want to be seen to do what Labor did

The LNP was working to introduce some doozies if they got/get back in in Queensland..

Work choices for one.

It appears many state and local government departments where banking on the LNP to get back in so they could **** their people over by legislating non-negotiable workplace 'agreements'!!

Fingers crossed the LNP dont get the numbers or our kids will be working for peanuts and many full time positions will become part time all in the name of efficiency.

I have an efficiency measure that would really help government departments, get rid of the 7 levels of management and employ more people who are actually productive in the workplace!!

Any further leadership ballot will come after the NSW Election I am guessing. If the O'Farrell/Baird government get ousted, then they will go for it again.

It only makes the Libs defeat at the next election greater. I hope you like PM Shorten.

They're in the position of having to call an election if Tony gets binned too close to 2016, no time for another leader to save face.

Because the Prince Phillip thing isn't the only thing that has dragged him to this point.

I never mentioned Prince Phillip. You were the one to focus on that issue.

Ford fans be proud. History of Australian motor racing shows Ford has been and will always be superior. They have to slow them down when they get serious about racing. The Phase 4 scared the **** out of people, they banned it. Sierra gets called on a technicality, Falcon EF "...had its wings clipped to make Holden part of the show", AU not allowed to show it's potential, Falcon BF gets clipped. Mustang Is so good Supercars made up a rule and gets a bag of cement in the roof, and it still wins.

I don't care whether you focused on it. The media sure did. A bit too much for my liking considering the more serious topics out there.

On the spill vote today, the 60-40 split doesn't express confidence that Abbott has fought off another challenge. I expect there to be another within 6 months and if the polls remain the same there would have to be some MPs in that party room with itchy feet to change their vote given the election result atm.

To respond to Bruce in the NRL thread: it is probably the single hardest loss I have had to deal with at Souths to lose Bully. Much worse than Sam Burgess as he didn't symbolise Souths as Bully did. I think a lot will underestimate just how much a loss he will be to Souths but I fully understand how engrossed he is with NZ and I think given that he will make the successful transition that others haven't.

"The only thing I ask is that people respect the countries prime minister" AJ on Q&A last night! I bet his father died of shame!!! We should take him out to sea, tied up in a chaff bag!?

That's great, it starts with an earthquake
Birds and snakes, and aeroplanes
And Lenny Bruce is not afraid!

Sorry if you wanted him to take the head of another conservative leader in less than a month you are sadly mistaken.

Not going to bother reading all 378 pages of this topic, but suffice to say that all pollies are a bunch lying conniving arsewipes who are only in it for themselves and will screw over whoever they can to line their own pockets, then tell us all to tighten our belts while they live the high life on the money we earn, the same people who like to remind us to plan and save for our retirements while they still receive hundreds of thousands of dollars a year plus free travel after they retire from politics but then go on to work in the private sector still earning in the vicinity of 200,000 a year. Call me cynical, yes you may.
