this quality member flew down here in a private jet from Adelaide about 15 minutes after a commercial flight then flew the jet back home again about 1 hour before a commercial flight back to Adelaide. While she was here she hired a full size car for herself and one for the pilots.....Im assuming she had solar panel's on the car's and on the jet ????

Was only a matter of time before the spotty moved to the Greens expenditure. Greens are just at the other extreme end of the political scale from the Libs.

Ford fans be proud. History of Australian motor racing shows Ford has been and will always be superior. They have to slow them down when they get serious about racing. The Phase 4 scared the **** out of people, they banned it. Sierra gets called on a technicality, Falcon EF "...had its wings clipped to make Holden part of the show", AU not allowed to show it's potential, Falcon BF gets clipped. Mustang Is so good Supercars made up a rule and gets a bag of cement in the roof, and it still wins.

An election must be around the corner considering some of the ideas both sides of the tree are spruiking.

ICE addicts could be docked welfare benefits or forced into rehab under a plan being considered by the Abbott government.

Warning that ice was destroying opportunities for many people on benefits, Social Services Minister Scott Morrison said he was looking at expanding welfare quarantining programs aimed at vulnerable people to ice users.

The minister said while ice was used by people across society, there were more users who were on the dole and other benefits.

Under plans being considered by the government, welfare systems could be used to intercept people with addictions, either by addicts volunteering for assistance or being dobbed in by Centrelink staff.

ICE MAIDEN AND THE MR BIGS

“It is a drug you can see people on benefits using,” Mr Morrison told the Herald Sun.

“We should ask how we can use the connections we have through Job Active ... or also through Centrelink. We are connecting with people and their situations every day.”

Calling for a suite of policy actions, the minister left open the option of fast-tracking plans to limit welfare payments if this was proved to help people whose lives were being destroyed by the drug.

He said he was interested in schemes in New Zealand where welfare offices are used as hubs to identify vulnerable people and refer them to counselling.

Some addicts could voluntarily seek help, including by having their welfare payments set aside for use on food or other essentials.

I can't see this grand idea working somehow. Sure, it could by votes for the more delusional voters that happily support their favoured party through thick and thin, but for everyone else, I can't see it working.

In order for this to work, they will have to do mandatory drug testing to weed out the drug addicts so they can dock their Centerlink payments, which in turn will have to put more funding into law enforcement. I wonder why they would have to do that?

Gosh....if we take their social security away....how will all those nasty ICE addicts make money?...worse than Border-Farce Oh and a urine screen costs between $50 and $100 each....work out the maths....

I'd rather take notice of what the RBA has to say - they make much more senseand are not misguided by innuendo, hearsay, political leanings or bias.

Things are worse than when Labor were in and were getting battered from pillar to post but now "we're going along alright". Yep, no bias there...

We were going alright. LG's "Ecomomists and financial experts who have a much better idea than keyboardists" said that if Labors measures were not undone we were looking at a '16-'17 surplus.

Any-who...this is quite funny. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q99VsIec2gg

Abbott has actually done the right thing for once.

I said it before, Christians, Druze, Yazidi and Kurds should be given preference as the victims of genocide.

The economy is ****ed, if I don't see the first recession in my life in the next 12 months I will be totally shocked. Not all the Libs fault especially with growth in China grinding to a halt but they also haven't exactly done much to boost confidence or anything to fix it fiscally. Who can blame people losing confidence and being unwilling to invest in new capital and businesses after the confidence sapping 'shocker that was the '14 budget, and the limp wristed 2015 budget.

$700 million for 12,000 refugees compared to several Billion spent turning back or holding refugees in detention.

Tell me again how the Liberals are better money managers?

The logic (or lack of it) in that statement is so screwed up, I doubt anyone would try and unravel it for you, Albie.
