I apologise that I confused the two parties. I didn't realise Geert Wilders supported two new political parties in Australia - and there's getting to be so many, it's hard to keep up. One thing I'm sure of: the Australian Liberty Alliance would do better by distancing itself from Geert Wilders. Anyway, "there are far more important things in the world and in my personal life to worry about...". No, I'm not confused there. I just felt like quoting that one.

I had a read of your link to the Australian Liberty Alliance. Some good policies in there - but they will be overshadowed by the anti-Islam base that started them off. I feel that these various anti-Islam parties aren't going to help Australia. This is going to get messy. Certainly, our major political parties could have done far better in recent years - and will have to now, more than ever, but while many other parties have come and gone over the years, just like them, these new ones will never capture the mainstream vote. Call it a prediction - or a hope.

"We plan to overhaul Australia's media content laws by restricting immoral content."

I guess they decide what is "immoral", and how to encourage the support of the millions of Australians who aren't of Judeo-Christian heritage, amongst many other things. Basically, they have a grab-bag of feel good policies to support their hatred of people of a non-Judeo-Christian religion. They'll need more than that, but there will be a few percent of voters who will go for it.

There's more if you look closely at what Rise Up Australia is on about, but "centrist"? Rise Up Australia is not. Stay Green or Labor. Joining a racial party doesn't fit your support for good policies and good government.

Voting these idiots would be as bad as voting in the Greens, both wackos, just different ends of the political spectrum

How can you be labeled a turncoat by moving from one side of the coalition to the other?

I notice that all the Tony Abbott attack dogs are very quiet on their own leader.

Texting while driving, spilling coffee while driving and crashing, lowest approval rating in history...

Must be an inspiring leader.

Nothing more Col and Trev.
It was merely an observation that the 2 leaders have been treated so differently by the pack.
Every day there'd be the same attacks over and over again on Abbott yet they're not happening with Shorten.
Is it double standards?

where I live it matters not one little **** who I vote for, I live in one of the most blue ribbon Federal Liberal seats

Although we did kick the Nationals out in the last State election after 47 years, I voted for a winner last time, an Independent, there is really no point voting Labor here, too many farmers

Our latest Labor nominee got dis-endorsed last week

Don't forget the Lib lackeys who howled at Gillard/Rudd but silent over Abbott.

I seem to recall it was you LG, that said when Abbott was attacked in opposition, "They aren't in Government" as an excuse to defend his poor performances.

I see Shortens poor rating as a wake up call for politics in the country. Time to lift their game or be consigned to oblivion.

Ford fans be proud. History of Australian motor racing shows Ford has been and will always be superior. They have to slow them down when they get serious about racing. The Phase 4 scared the **** out of people, they banned it. Sierra gets called on a technicality, Falcon EF "...had its wings clipped to make Holden part of the show", AU not allowed to show it's potential, Falcon BF gets clipped. Mustang Is so good Supercars made up a rule and gets a bag of cement in the roof, and it still wins.

From memory that was to do with policies.
Shorten is even inept at trying to oppose the gov't policies, let alone trying to drive a car!
