All Solid Labor achievements.

If you say so.......who called for the RC into the banking sector then? Which party tried to bring in a $7 medicare co-payment.....? When did the ALP promote cutting penalties......I just missed this all happening? Some links would be nice...more than happy to back my claims up!

who called for the RC into the banking sector then?
The Coalition Government did. Only the Government can do it, and they did.

Which party tried to bring in a $7 medicare co-payment.....?
I don't know that they did. Was legislation introduced?
However,
quote:
Labor's Queensland headquarters in Brisbane created the "Mediscare" text that pretended to come from Medicare, Opposition Leader Bill Shorten confirmed on Tuesday.

https://www.smh.com.au/politics/federal/federal-election-2016-shorten-confirms-labor-sent-mediscare-text-20160705-gpzasl.html

When did the ALP promote cutting penalties.
If you are referring to cuts in penalty rates, the Coalition did not cut.

The decision to cut was made by an independent commission, established by ALP and Minister Bill Shorten with commissioners chosen by Bill Shorten.

Bill Shorten, of course, is well known for negotiating cuts vto the penalty rates of union members, purely by co-incidence, at the same time that the employers made donations to Union funds.

As for children in detention: There were many children in detention under Labor, somewhere between 1,000 and 2,000 when Labor lost office. Many were held in offshore detention camps established by Labor. There are close to Zero now.

I am not anti-Labor. I am substantially anti Bill Shorten.

As I write, it appears that Dutton may be Prime Minister before the day is out, which also does not please me.

If you wan't references, try Google.

Will they pull them down if Peter gets in ?
Renewables are here to stay

fake news? Turnbill removed climate change targets this week which is directly related to progress with green tech in this country. It'll still exist but it's growth will be severely stunted in favour of the mining companies who clearly have a lot of clout at the political level here. We'll be decades behind the rest of the western world in this regard.

Let's not forget the barrier reef debacle, proof this administration cares more about their corrupt behaviour than the genuine well being of our environment.

and under the last couple a ALP governments nothing changed

my biggest clients are renewable energy companies..the biggest issue they have right now is staff to build the projects

It is now Dutton up against ScoMo. Current immigration minister versus former immigration minister.

That is unexpected.

And Bishop!

I reckon she has more chance of winning than either of them. She's got bigger balls for starters.

The pricks should drop this bastard act of selfishness and do what they are over-paid to do, serve the Australian people. What we are witnessing is a total lack of respect for the Australian people, the whole ****ing lot should be sacked.

Is there anything the Governor General can do about this, as I always thought that the GG wielded more power than the revolving door of PMs?

A bloke said yesterday that the reason that Morrison and Bishop are running is to pull votes off Dutton, interesting concept, but now in light of Turnbull saying that if there is another attempted leadership election he won't run

Haha Dutton.
What a spectacular failure he is.

Nothing much has changed, just made the whole party look like a bunch of morons.

What a giant cluster **** they are.

RIP LJ - loved and never forgotten.

"It was dry for the second go-around. Grice, nervous, worrying about his Bathurst jinx, ran 2:25.9. The amazing Brock, using every last centimetre of bitumen, yet keeping the car straight and balanced and at full noise, came back with a staggering 2:20.0 as if to say: "Match that". And people just shook their heads, bit their lips and wondered who would be second".

The Peter Brock trophy is now where it belongs.

Great, so some things Morrison has voted strongly in favour for:
Decreasing ABC and SBS funding
Getting rid of Sunday and public holiday penalty rates
Increasing indexation of HECS-HELP debts
Increasing the Medicare Levy
Increasing the price of subsidised medicine
Reducing the corporate tax rate

Voted strongly against:
Increasing marine conservation
A Royal Commission into Violence and Abuse against People with Disability
An NBN (using fibre to the premises)
Ending illegal logging
Extending government benefits to same-sex couples
Increasing consumer protections
Increasing investment in renewable energy
Increasing protection of Australia's fresh water
Increasing scrutiny of asylum seeker management
Protecting the Great Barrier Reef
Same-sex marriage equality
Stopping tax avoidance or aggressive tax minimisation
The Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme

Great...

I don't think it is a win for Abbott Trev.
Dutton didn't get in because Turnbull turned the tables, sacrificed himself and got Morrison in. Abbott will be still fuming!

Apart from wrecking and destabilising (those things he said he wouldn't do), this certainly hasn't been any win for Abbott. Yes, Turnbull has gone, but instead of getting someone from the loony right as PM, we ended up with a relative moderate. That was never Abbott's aim. So, 'Prime Minister Morrison' - could have been worse.
