Interestingly Morrison is quite working class for the right side of politics.

Never been a CEO of anything important. Just worked in Tourism

Turnbull didn't sit in the back row and constantly snipe and undermine as Abbott has done.
He is also doing the honourable thing and getting out of parliament.
Abbott however...

Yeah, he knifed him (as you say) but certainly didn't sit in the back row continually pulling faces and making snide remarks.
There's a very big difference.
Abbott is a sore loser and decided to sneakily attack from the inside right from day 1.
He should have left the parliament, but no, he decided to stay and try to destroy the Liberal Party with Turnbull at the helm.

I may be old, but I certainly don't have a short memory...

You honestly believe that Turnbull wasn't pulling Abbott down whilst he had the top job ?

He just woke up one day and somebody tapped him on the shoulder and said " hey mal wanna be PM " ?...and he said " oh no wouldn't want to dishonour our leader "
ALL leadership take overs are authored in deceit....

Morrison won't last long, he is as polarizing as Dutton, and a strong advocate of the master-servant conservative school of politics!

It looks like you don't know the history of the Liberal Party leadership re Abbott and Turnbull.

In 2007, John Howard resigned from the leadership after losing the election to Kevin Rudd. Abbott, Turnbull and Brendan Nelson all nominated, and Nelson won from Turnbull after Abbott withdrew, having seen that he didn't have the numbers. Nelson struggled as leader and had very ordinary poll numbers. Amid the speculation about who would tap Nelson on the shoulder, Nelson suddenly called a spill while Turnbull was on holidays, hoping to avoid a Turnbull challenge, however Turnbull won and became the Liberal leader. No "takeover authored in deceit" by anyone so far.

As leader, Turnbull supported an ETS - and so did Abbott. As a party, the Libs didn't support Labor's scheme, but were pushing for their own amended version. It wasn't popular in the Liberal Party, so Abbott changed his mind. That's when the sniping really began. The Libs were split over the ETS, and there was a fair bit of squabbling, with Abbott, Turnbull, Joe Hockey and Kevin Andrews all angling for the leadership. In December 2009, there was a spill motion (started by Andrews), and then a leadership vote which was won by Abbott by one vote, although there was a member absent and one informal vote.

In September 2013, the Coalition won the Federal Election and Abbott became Prime Minister. In September 2015, Turnbull challenged Abbott for the leadership and won by 10 votes. In July 2016, The Coalition won the Federal Election by one seat, and Turnbull became PM.

It's a matter of opinion about who out of Abbott and Turnbull did any destabilising/wrecking/sniping up until then - probably pretty equal, but from that point on, Abbott made them his aim in life, and his mission to get rid of Turnbull and to get a real conservative back as PM. He got rid of Turnbull, but Turnbull out-manoeuvred Abbott with Dutton, and a relative moderate (Morrison) became PM. The damage to the Liberal Party from this debacle will take a long time to recover from. When it comes to wrecking and destabilising, Abbott is the champion.

A history of leadership stints from the three major parties.

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-08-23/malcolm-turnbull-leadership-spills-chart/10152464

Gotta admit, the revolving door of PMs has probably been a help to the Australian public as I don't think any of them were in power long enough to receive their entitlements from being sitting PMs. Cut price government. Good stuff.

I find it absolutely fascinating that any intellifent person would argue one party over another in this day and age. If you are that blinded by a sense of belonging/loyalty to either of the main parties, every time they stick a dick in your arse and pump you dry, you friggin deserve it! These people are not in it for you, thet are in it for themselves, thats why their pensions are massive compared to what you lot are going to get!

It's all about having the lesser of two evils in power and always will be. For me comes down to certain topics which are important to me and I vote accordingly.
