The coalition are either desperate or truly believe that Clive has some pull for their preference deal.

Clive is aiming for the uneducated bogan trash end of the populous, and there are good numbers to be had there.

Mick, we cannot afford Morrison's lot in again,
In 6 years they have destroyed our economy, gone from 1st to 21st and have the highest percentage of over 65s living in poverty of any western nation! Show me that you actually believe they are good economic managers with fact! It's hard, Actually, it's impossible because they are so bad!

New Commodore Hey! So you used your own money? Would you like to buy a used bridge?

They have created exactly zero jobs from the slashing of penalty rates!
What they have achieved by this is the retraction of spending in the community, the flow on effect being the loss of thousands of small business concerns! They have created the opposite of what they told employers what was going to happen! They have to go? We can't afford the LNP!

As predicted, the greatest ever scheme to increase voting enrollment numbers in the Same Sex Marriage survey, has worked wonders. We now have an enrollment percentage of 96.8%, with the all important 18 - 24 age group at an 88% enrollment rate. We just need more in parliament though.

https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2019/apr/23/high-number-of-young-voters-create-record-enrolment-rate-of-968-for-election

Meanwhile, current Deputy Dawg Michael McCormack, thinks that newer younger voters could be a problem.

Just watching Sky News and it staggers me that the labour party in Tasmania has, as one of it's policies, that if they get elected, they will require all home owners who do DIY to their own house, to install 3 phase power and also be forced to install electric chargers in their garages so they can charge the electric car they don't own. How ****ing stupid is that!

Shorten only seems to be beaten in stupidity by the members of NZ parliament who belong to the coalition of losers.

Last night, Tony Abbott suggested that Australia have its own car industry - making electric cars, even.

https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2019/may/02/abbott-v-steggall-former-pm-suggests-australia-make-its-own-cars-despite-closing-down-industry

He was speaking during a debate with his main opponent Zali Steggall in the upcoming election in his electorate of Warringah. Once the laughter died down, he backed away from that idea, probably realising how crazy that idea sounded coming from him.

There are a number of candidates from multiple parties resigning or being sacked, mostly over facebook or forum type posts from their past.

I am just wondering how this could alter the outcome of this election.

The former party candidates are still on the ballot papers and can be voted for.

It is also obvious that a lot of voters are looking at some sort of protest vote and could switch to dumped candidates instead of minority protest groups such as The Greens, PHON and UAP.

Those who have been around for a while might remember an Ipswich Fish-and-Chips shop owner running for the Libs in a very safe Labor seat that no serious Lib member would bother with. The Libs sacked her after nominations closed.

It transpired that a LOT of potential Labor voters who would never vote Lib now had an independant with which they could lodge their protest votes.

History shows that Pauline Hanson an ex-Lib candidate ruled not good enough for the Libs actually beat the best candidate Labor could find in "safe" Labor seat.

That simple dumping has created runtions in Australian Politics ever since. Just imagine what hacoc a half dozen Pauline like Independants could cause in a minority Government situation.
