What is the eligibilty requirements for getting into the Bud Shootout these days?
Until the mid-00s , to get an entry you had to either have won a pole the previous season, or have been a former winner of the Bud Shootout/Busch Clash (as it was formerly known) ..... but i don't think thats the case anymore.

Correct sir.
18th consecutive season that Foxtel in Australia has been airing all the Cup races live (or close to) and in full (first on Premier Sports, then on FOX Sports when it got renamed in '96, and since 2011 on Speed) |

| Speed is worth the $60 odd bucks a month I pay during the nascar and Indy season. Apart from Sky news is the only channel I watch. Worth every cent if you ask me |

| ONE showing the Shootout and Duels too - which means we get NASCAR again this season! As they wouldn't bother with those if it was a one race deal like 2009/10! |

Certainly is, the World Superbike coverage is great too, they really ramped that up when they lost the MotoGP at the end of 2009

No live 500 for ONE?? ****! hope that changes sooner to the event.
I don't care about the 'live' thing at all - but because I have no DVR - I have to tape things manually. So if for example, I leave the house at 7:30, race coverage starts at 10 - and the race gets red flagged or something. Boom, no full race on tape.
It makes perfect sense for One to delay races on Sunday, infact I hope they DO! - but on Monday it is stupid - who can watch TV at 10am on a workday? |

They would be better off doing what Channel 9 used to do and, if your not going to show it live, delay showing the race until the Monday night. |

One HD's website is still showing that the race will be aired live.
I suppose we'll just have to wait and see.

David Reutimann landed a Daytona 500 ride as he will drive for start-up team BK Racing, which bought equipment as well as obtained the points from Red Bull Racing.
Reutimann will drive the No. 93 Toyota and will have a guaranteed spot, along with teammate Landon Cassill, in the Daytona 500 thanks to the points earned by Brian Vickers and Kasey Kahne from Red Bull last year.
Having spent the last five years racing Cup for Michael Waltrip Racing, Reutimann will now drive for a team owned by former TRG investors. They also own Burger King franchises and are expected to have the restaurant’s logos on the hood.
Reutimann already had 26 Cup races, but not the upcoming Daytona 500, on his schedule – he will drive the 26 races for Tommy Baldwin Racing in the No. 10 car when Danica Patrick is not scheduled to race.
The 41-year-old Reutimann has 171 career Cup starts with two victories.
“It was looking more and more that I wasn’t going to get a chance to participate in the Daytona 500 and pretty much figured it would take a miracle for anything to happen to be able to work it out,” Reutimann said.
“It looks like we kind of got our miracle here with what those guys are doing.”
BK Racing acquired the Red Bull equipment just two weeks ago. Daytona 500 practice is set for Saturday with qualifying Sunday.
“They’ve definitely got a late start,” Reutimann said. “But they started out with some pretty good equipment already. I feel like it will be a competitive situation. We’ll just have to get down there and see what happens and get all the kinks worked out.
“It’s a bunch of new guys working a situation where everything is new – a mix of a lot of different people that haven’t worked together. Sometimes it will take a little time for everybody to fall in step, but when it comes to race time, I think we’ll be in good shape.”
As far as whether Reutimann will run the other nine events for BK Racing when he won’t be with TBR, that still remains to be determined. Travis Kvapil is expected to take over the driving duties for the No. 93 car starting in Phoenix when Reutimann is driving for TBR.
“I’d love to be able to fill in the rest of the schedule of the races that I have open,” Reutimann said. “I’ll worry about that later on. I’m just thrilled to have the opportunity I have right now.”
Reutimann will have two opportunities to race at Daytona as he also will drive a truck for Ricky Benton Racing.
“Going from having nothing at all [a month ago] to having a truck deal down at Daytona – I’m really looking forward to it, that’s a great little team – and having the opportunity to run the 500 as well, it’s a nice shot in the arm,” said Reutimann, who will drive 13-15 truck races for RBR and have sponsorship from Blacks Tire Auto Services at Daytona.
Also nice is the fact that Reutimann won’t have to qualify either on speed or through the qualifying races in the Cup car.
“There’s very little you can do to help it,” Reutimann said. “In other situations, the driver can maybe make up for it, hustle it a little bit and get a good lap out of it.
“At Daytona, if the car is not going to give you a good lap, you’re just not going to get it. It’s good to be locked in at any situation, but especially this.”
