2012 State of Origin Series Excellence Awards

Decided to run this again this year, again taking a leaf from LG's book. We'll run all of the voting in this one thread just so it's easier.

Rules:
You must choose three players, in order, no 'ties.' Meaning you can only nominate 3 players.
The point structure is 3,2,1 (3 being the best).
You should really give a reason for your votes.

This is NOT a favourite player poll, you vote for the best performance of the game - winning or losing side.

My Game I votes:
3. Brent Tate - Thought he was as safe as a brick ****house when the high balls went up. Certainly had QLD on the front foot many times.
2. Michael Jennings - Sticky stuck with him and Jenko delivered. I'm sure he can't wait for Game II
1. Jonathan Thurston - Went a bit quiet in the second half, but his first half pretty well set the game up for QLD.

Honourable Mentions
Robbie Farah - I thought played really well. Will Buderus get his spot back?

Jarryd Hayne - Got in the middle of the field to do his part a few times, great stuff. Hopefully he can be involved in some more infield set plays in Game II.

Game I Tally
15. Brent Tate - QLD
5. Johnathan Thurston - QLD
2. Greg Bird - NSW
2. Jarryd Hayne - NSW
2. Michael Jennings - NSW
2. James Tamou - NSW

Thought I'd kick-off Game II voting as well.

3. Robbie Farah - One of his best games, and at that level.
2. Cooper Cronk - When he came back onto the field, QLD went up three gears.
1. Greg Bird - Solid yet again. He will be remembered as a NSW player above anything else.
