Has there ever been any recent Australian tennis player that hasn't had head up arse syndrome?

Unfortunately talent doesn't necessarily come with a brain.

Nah he did.

Pat Rafter was a great role model.

"It was dry for the second go-around. Grice, nervous, worrying about his Bathurst jinx, ran 2:25.9. The amazing Brock, using every last centimetre of bitumen, yet keeping the car straight and balanced and at full noise, came back with a staggering 2:20.0 as if to say: "Match that". And people just shook their heads, bit their lips and wondered who would be second".

I think you might have been thinking of Pat Rafter, Mick. Pat Cash had a mild dose of 'H up A' syndrome, but nothing like Nick Kyrgios or Bernard Tomic. Compared to those two, he was a pretty good role model, but Pat Rafter was waay better. Pat Cash certainly seemed a lot happier than this cranky pair. In Bernard Tomic's case, it would be easy to blame the parents, as Bernard seems to imitate his Dad, but Kyrgios' parents seem pretty cool. Going back a way, you'll remember Jelena Dokic and her stupid, drunk father, Damir Dokic, who was a complete lunatic, but Jelena soon worked that out and became a pretty good role model for female sportswomen. Maybe it's the usual 20th-21st century problem of young people being adulated too much, too soon, earning a lot of money and being too young too handle the attention and the money. Let's hope that these two come out the other side and become better people as they mature. It happened with John McEnroe, and it's been happening with Lleyton Hewitt. These two are coming from a fair way back though.

PS: Dawn Fraser didn't help with what she said today.

Honestly I can't stand Kyrgios. I don't even watch tennis, yet the bloke pisses me off. See the way he carries on when they show it on the news, the bloke needs a massive attitude adjustment. He's not far from the same boat as Anthony Mundine, where I'll cheer for anybody to beat him.

Hopefully Kyrgios can turn it around, he's only 20. Kokkinarkis is a nice kid. Only 19, hopefully he makes it.

Dawn Fraser should swim back to 1950 where the times suit her better.

didn't see anything wrong with the snippet I heard that Dawn said... perhaps a full quote could be different...

he had a pathetic attitude in the clip and deserved a serve up... (at least he responded to that unlike on the tennis court where he couldn't be bothered...)
