Lewis on pole by a big margin over Rosberg.

In fact he was so dominant his Q2 time on softs was faster than Rosberg's Q3 on supersofts...

Vettel 3rd, Kimi 4th, Bottas 5th, then Dan then Verstappen.

I think we can comfortably say that the Renault engines are not on par with the Ferrari ones despite what Dan says if they can't match the Ferrari's pace around a place like Monza.

Well said - sums up the hypocrisy of LG and the fordies -

Red Bull's strategy on Ricciardo was great, and fifth was as good as they could get. Horner was quoted as being surprised that they were heading out of Europe still in front of Ferrari in the constructor's championship.
Apparently the Asian rounds coming up will suit Red Bull better.

Ricciardo was "giggling" in happines with the car's speed, when catching Bottas on the back straight. He than comes from nowhere on the Super Softs to pass Bottas at turn 1: link to GIF on Twitter. Ricciardo then celebrates the pass a few corners later: link to GIF on Twitter

Absolute cracking move

RIP05

_Mholden

RIP LJ - loved and never forgotten.

"It was dry for the second go-around. Grice, nervous, worrying about his Bathurst jinx, ran 2:25.9. The amazing Brock, using every last centimetre of bitumen, yet keeping the car straight and balanced and at full noise, came back with a staggering 2:20.0 as if to say: "Match that". And people just shook their heads, bit their lips and wondered who would be second".

The Peter Brock trophy is now where it belongs.

Great move, it took a little cooperation from Bottas... If it were Whincup doing it, it would be the end of the world.
It's what we're here to see though, ballsy moves that produces great racing among top of the line drivers.

Yep Dan's move was the highlight of an otherwise pretty dull race. Credit to Bottas for being on the ball too. With quite a few drivers Dan's move wouldn't have turned out so well.

Pity Lewis blew the start so badly that he wasn't able to make a race of it with Rosberg. Could have been good to watch.

Nice to see Button passing Alonso too, given that McLaren are giving him the arse.

Don't be silly karter, Jenson is stepping down and taking a sabbatical. Just ask McLaren's PR team.
