Yes. They're happy to give him a drive in once off events and it's standard in those categories to swap drivers around as necessary to fit with schedules in other race categories.

The real question is would Penske allow Chaz to race with BMW?

They wouldn't likely contract him as a factory driver for just a single season if his plan was to come straight back here. That would be a waste of time for all concerned.

If he keeps racing here, he'd still likely get the odd race here and there for them

A proper BMW contract can work out well though and set you up for your entire racing career

Surely all this talk of Chaz and Walkinshaw is just talk. I wouldn't go there. How many years have they told us they're rebuilding and they're going to be back up the top and yet every year all they do is go well at Adelaide and Townsville, and ****house for the rest of the year? If the Penske option isn't available then surely you'd stay at Tickford, even if they are offering less money. Much more chance of winning a title at Tickford than there is at Walkinshaw.

More inclined to think of poor Frosty and CSR as more relevant.....why did he do it!!!! Why would Chaz change-to anybody other than DJRTP??

Moving to Walkinshaw Andretti United FC would be a sideways step for Chaz from Tickford, and i think the only way we'd see him in a Holden is if Roland takes him in, and even then it would be a question of who he will replace.

A BMW contract would see him in IMSA full time in the massive M8, and possibly something in DPi or the new LMP1 ruleset if BMW choose to go down that path.

CP, WAU would be wishing they were a sideways step from Tickford... At the moment they're down the stairs, into the lift and in the basement.

Reckon he’ll end up at DJRTP but wouldn’t it be interesting if JW retired and Chaz jumped in his seat. JW and retirement keep being mentioned and I can’t think of anyone who T8 have waiting in the wings to take over.

Does that mean he's returning to Ford? Maybe he'll recover over the summer and sign with Tickford...

You could be onto something DJR Ford.

It sounds like AA has as much idea of what's going on as the rest of us, (as usual).
