As Media Manager for the 2019 V8 Central Fantasy League, it is my honour to run this years Media Centre.

Rules are essentially the same as previous years.

To limit excess please only have up to four liveries per team. For ease please attempt to use the same core numbers for your cars (as was the case last season. However you are free to use any numbers you wish (except #1, reserved for the reigning champion) if you don't wish to use the same core numbers). If the number/s you wish to use were used by another member last season (please check before choosing), please contact them to sort out which of you will use it. Any manufacturers are good for the media centre. Please ensure the numbers located on the windows are in a yellow font and the driver's names in a white font. Any font you wish to use is fine as long as it is readable.

Keep in mind, when designing, our annual Livery of the Year competition. As this is all fantasy, you can be as outrageous and creative as you like in regards to your designs. Your sponsors don't have any say in the designs. It's all up to you!

You can also post news updates before, during and after events, team launches, driver updates etc.

Media Centre is now open!

Woke Up with (Hazel)wood

2019 is all change for Craig Paterson Racing. A new car. A new driver. New sponsors. A new number. It is a whole new world.

"We needed some change" said team owner CP. "After the last few years running Nissan Altimas and our world famous Toyota VF Lexcen, we've gone a bit Back to the Future. We started our V8CFL career with Ford, and now we've returned to the Ford fold, only with factory backing."

Craig Paterson Racing, which will be known as 7 Eleven Mobil 1 Racing will be rolling out a new #711 Ford Mustang for Todd Hazelwood.

"I joined this team as I've heard through the paddock that it is the happening place" said new recruit Todd Hazelwood. "Craig appears to be a fun team owner and I hope that I can bring great success to the team. I am looking forward to what we do this year."

The team had planned to convert their Nissan Altima over to the Ford engine and bodywork, however, they have built a brand new car instead. "I grew attached to the Altima" said CP. "We were going to convert it over but as it was our Bathurst winning chassis, it was decided to restore it back to that and keep it alongside our preserved Toyota Lexcen. They have pride of place sitting in our foyer at CPR World Headquarters".

The #711 Ford Mustang will be carrying 7 Eleven markings this season, along with major backing from Mobil 1, Slurpee and Ford Performance. At time of release, a livery is still in the works as in recent days, 7 Eleven Mobil 1 Racing have also signed some minor partners to support the team throughout the year.

We would like to welcome our minor partners DAF Trucks, AEG Powertools, Fleetmark, JCB, Nitto Tyre and Maximus to the family in 2019. The livery will be revealed in the lead up to next weekends Superloop Adelaide 500.

Big Changes As The Arrow Motorsport Aims For Glory In 2019

As with every new season big changes are coming to many teams including sole Mazda team The Arrow Motorsport.

Headlining the changes is an adjustment to the driver line-up that lead The Arrow Motorsport to a top 6 position in last season's championship, including 9 podiums and a single win at their home event in Newcastle.

The driver line-up hasn't changed drastically, however some have questioned the changes.

"The way the groupings change each season make it difficult to keep a lot of continuity. The grouping changes are necessary though, we have no problems with it at all. But they are the reasons why we need to change drivers each year." said TheArrow.

Out of The Arrow Motorsport are David Reynolds in the #9 and Scott Pye in the #2. Replacing them are #6 Cameron Waters and #99 Anton De Pasquale.

"We would have loved to keep David Reynolds on board. He had a very strong season and helped us to our podium and win at Newcastle.

"However, his great season made it impossible to keep both him and Mostert. Even though Mostert struggled last season we have complete faith that he will pick it up for this season.

"And Anton is a great guy, great with fans, excellent on track performance, and we're certain he'll offer a lot to our team.

"We're also thrilled to continue with Scotty Mac. Hopefully we can offer him the chance to win the championship with us. We've won it once in 2008 and we've come close once or twice since then, notably 2017, but we feel like this could be our season."

It is understood Mostert is on a round review basis and may be swapped out for Reynolds if his performance is lack lustre after a few events.

Other changes include another minor tweak to the aerodynamics package which was adjusted prior to last season.

"We felt a massive lift in performance last season with the new aero but we felt there was still a little more we could get out of it. With the introduction of a few new cars this season we felt it was a good time to make a few more little adjustments."

The most notable change is a slightly larger and re-profiled rear wing.

The liveries will be revealed in the coming days with speculation around who will run the iconic #57 that the team has had since it's championship winning season in 2008. Other numbers used will be a continuation of those used in 2018, #55 and #75.

R&K Motorsports

Gorokan, NSW – As another season is right around the corner, R&K Motorsports, the Yank team based out of New South Wales is ready to stand up for the cause.

After a slightly dismal 2018 season wherein many on the team wanted to put cement shoes on Frosty, their pilot, and take him on a one way fishing charter out to the Great Barrier Reef, the team has been recharged with a HUGE influx of cash from the dark continent.

The Yellow Group, a contracted company specializing in the growing, transporting, and selling of Chiquita bananas, has climbed aboard this ship in hopes to right it. With that, these heavy hitting business executives have been in serious negotiations with Shogun Autosports and their CEO, Mr. Helix, to develop the proper livery for their 2019 Ford Mustang, as the Falcon FGX has been retired.

As always, Mr. Helix has come through:

Ooooohs and ahhhhs were heard from the crowd and members of the press who were on hand.

This subsequently resulted in Team Principal Mike to address the masses.

“With the new Ford Mustang and the backing from the yellow boys here, we aim to achieve higher results than last season.”

He continued, “Of course, that isn’t too much to shoot for considering our 2018 results, but yet we are shooting!”

To give to all in attendance at the press release, the sponsor’s product was handed out graciously.

It was absolutely amazing watching women in this energized arena.

As you can tell, this bloke was over the moon with his free team souvenir.

Right on que, a Carmen Miranda impersonator got the crowd going!

“See see see see see see see the mooooooooon above…… Way way way way way up in theeee Blue!”

The crowd loved it! In fact, most actually kept their clothes on!

One reporter, who was still sober, then shouted out, “Hey! It says ‘Stanaway’ on the car!”

Others joined in:

“What’s up with THAT?”

“Booooo! Booooo!”

“Attitude problem!”

Richie responded to let the media know what he was dealing with in 2018:

“Look mates, last year….. driving for Tickford…. Well, I’ll give you an example:

“We were testing at Phillip Island. When you go down the long front straight at top speed, you get to the end, tap the brakes, and turn right. With Tickford, you go down the long front straight, tap the brakes and hope to GOD the car turns right.”

Mike countered the mob mentality. “Now, now, Richie is a crack driver. He can’t help it if he was given a sled to drive last year. The Yellow Group Board of Directors took this into account and decided he was the guy”

“Mike wants to hire this Stanaway guy. I hear he is a head case but we’ll give him a try.”

“Let’s give him a lowball contract and not burn too much dough on him. We have other interests.”

Bob, on the other hand, was all upbeat about the 2019 campaign:

“I’m practicing for the podium celebrations! Woo HOO! Party down! Get out the Surfboard trophies and the good looking chicks!”

Bob was quickly reminded by the cooler heads in the room that Stanaway has yet to show true success, talent, and attitude.

“Ahhhh…. I can DREAM, can’t I? Might as well get tanked. Anyone want to join me?”

In closing, there ARE some innovative ideas for this season:

A jackman, Jim, new to the series, will be tested out in the pits this year. He doesn’t even need an air spike. He just lifts the car and works for bananas. We will see if Supercars allows this method in their current rules package.

Richie will also be paired with a brand new engineer/mechanic.

His name is Earl and he was previously wrenching for The Yellow Group in their limousine department. A top bloke, he is.

We just hope Richie can keep up with Earl’s knowledge.

Earl doesn’t need need of those little electronic pocket poking devices. He is, as we say in the States, "Old School".

We'll see all of you fans trackside in Adelaide.

After a very successful 2018 season ITR Mugen is coming back to the bring the word Supercar in to Supercar racing. After developing the racing version of the Twin Turbo 3.5 JNC1 Earth Dreams V6 that was used in our winning Accords of last year. We put the motors in there rightful homes, The Honda NSX. We picked up our 2 shells at the Honda Performance Manufacturing Center in Marysville Ohio and brought them to our racing shop hidden behind the Niagara Falls in Canada. It was there where it was mated on to its very very modified Supercars control chassis. 5 Months of work was done to the chassis to convert it from a front motor/rear drive setup to a mid motor rear drive set up as seen in this diagram.

Countless testing of the car was done in Mid Ohio, Mosport, Toronto Indy circuit, Montreal GP circuit, and Watkins Glen before the cars were shipped over to Australia. So here they are in all of there glory..the FIRST Mid engine Australian Supercar... The 2019 ITR Mugen Honda NSX

MT2 mSPORT is energized for 2019!

With steady improvement from it's first two seasons MT2 mSPORT is looking ahead to 2019. New for the season is a slight team name update, as well as a new manufacturer with Toyota. MT2 mSPORT will campaign the Toyota Camry Hybrid for the V8 Supercar Fantasy League's first endeavor into electrification for it's 2AR 2.5Litre 4-cylinder Turbo engine. MT2 will seek to show Australia (and the World) the benefits of having a hybrid setup to eliminate turbo lag to keep up with the v8's.

New title Sponsor for Endurance Champs

After a strong showing in 2018, winning two races and finishing 5th in the Championship, Ain't Care Motorsports have signed on a new tobacco technology partner.
Approaching Ain't Care Motorsports after the Endurance Championship win, Mission Winnow stated they would double whatever Red Bull were paying - a similar tactic they also made in the F1 Championship.

As former driver Garth Tander has recently found out, money talks, and Mission Winnow now adorns the newly red, white and black Commodores - drawing from the history books of the 'batmobile.'
Whilst Mission Winnow were keen to homologate a Ferrari, fantasy CEO 'American Mike' wouldn't budge in lowering the roof line, citing how good the Mustang looks in Supercar trim - after he bought a whole fleet for his own 2019 campaign.

Allan Moffat has again been linked to a Wildcard entry, still deciding to run the victorious VF dating back to 2015, or bring in a new chassis.
It's understood he's seeking factory support - and Ford still insist there's more Bathurst winning money coming from 1977, so a new Mustang may be on the cards.

Along with Mission Winnow, regular sponsors Gumout, Mobil, AC Delco and SCHORN tuning have continued their funding. Whilst new sponsors Dell, Kaiser Blaas and Tommy Hilfiger have signed up.
Team drivers: McLaughlin, Whincup, Pye, Courtney, Percat, Heimgartner and Stanaway.

PS. This is the template made available for the Penrite livery competition.
I read through the T&C's and found nothing about personal use (in-fact nothing about use at all).

The Arrow Motorsport Launches into 2019

With just days to go until the 2019 season officially kicks off, The Arrow Motorsport has launched their newly tweaked cars for this season's campaign.

As the team revealed mid-last week, a number of changes has been made both within the team and with the cars.

The most notable change with the cars is the introduction of a new rear wing, an improvement on the adjustments made for 2018. Since the 'new' V8CFL championship was introduced in 2015, The Arrow Motorsport began running Mazda6 Supercars after running Fords from the inaugural season in 2008 to the series demise at the end of 2013.

From 2015 to the end of 2017 the Mazdas were run with a centre-mounted rear wing. During the 17-18 off season a new wing was designed, tested and implemented for the 2018 season. After noticing the increased performance (albeit with a lack of results compared to 2017), more adjustments have been made resulting in a larger wing.

"We're obviously really hoping for better results than last season. 2017 was a great season for us with a battle right to the end of the season." said TheArrow

"We finished a close 2nd that year, but last year we came away with a solitary race win.

"We did get the Tournament title which was bittersweet after coming just 6th in the points."

Other changes include new drivers with Cameron Waters and Anton De Pasquale joining the team.

The cars will run the same base design with varying colours for each sponsor, keeping the continuity within the teams appearance. Supercheap Auto and Shell (V-Power) continue their sponsorship of the team for the third year running. Stanley has not renewed their sponsorship after two seasons.

Epson and Pirtek return for the 11th year with the team. HomeWorld and Sydney Thunder Big Bash team return continuing their relationship with The Arrow Motorsport through Mazda. Archer Fire Services return as minor sponsors with English fashion brand River Island in a minor capacity. Factory support from Mazda continues for the 5th consecutive season.

Joining the team is mental health charity Livin.

"As we I've mentioned in the past, mental health is really important to us as a team. We've partnered with many in the past, including in 2015 where we promoted various mental health organisations throughout the season. So we are thrilled to be partnered with Livin this season."

Continuing with Shell backing, this time V-Power rather than Helix, in the 55 is Scott McLaughlin.

Running the 75 with Supercheap Auto sponsorship again is Chaz Mostert.

The famous 57 - run by The Arrow Motorsport since the teams inception - will be used by newcomer Anton De Pasquale with sponsorship from Arrow Productions.

The season kicks off in Adelaide at the SuperLoop 500 this weekend.

2015 - AGP - Race 2 Winner // 2015 - Symmons Plains - Race 1 Winner // 2015 - Perth Round Winner // 2015 - Darwin - Race 1 Winner // 2015 - Darwin Round Winner // 2016 - Enduro Cup - Sandown 500 Winner // 2017 - Darwin - Race 1 Winner // 2017 - Ipswich - Race 2 Winner // 2017 - Sandown 500 Winner // 2017 - Enduro Cup - Gold Coast - Race 1 Winner // 2017 - Newcastle - Race 1 Winner // 2017 V8CFL Runner Up // 2018 - Newcastle - Race 1 - Winner // 2018 V8CFL Tournament Champion

in an absolute amazing turn of events, Williams f1 who surprisingly keep an eye of the fantasy v8 season, have been in last minute talks with Shogun Autosports CEO Helix about running some cars under their banner in the form of full sponsorship of Shoguns new 2019 Mustangs.

As a show of complete awesomeness Leopard Natural the naming rights sponsor has agreed to this as it massively helps their financial situation from being spreed to thin.

Helix's team was up all hours to adapt, print and sticker some mustangs to roll out on the Adelaide grid in their new war paint.

Helix said the pride in his team cannot be measured and is immensely grateful to a team of Williams pedigree to show such faith.

so without further ado Shogun Autosports RoKiT Williams v8 Mustang

Strong Saturday, Sorry Sunday

Red Bus 151 Motorsport Team Nissan was left to ponder what could have been after a strong start following leg two of the Superloop Adelaide 500. After just missing the podium on Saturday, a few mistakes from the team meant a lowly 20th finish and leaving the event in 9th in the points (100 behind).

For the next event in Melbourne for the Grand Prix we will see the debut of the Kayo Sports colours a striking black with vivid teal graphics.
