Nothing to contribute? Silence would be an improvement.

Meanwhile, in Saudi Arabia....

I guess that's one way of keeping the prison population under control.

All the more perplexing the republicans would make 300 billion dollar deal and share nuclear data, sheesh.

Yep, you'd think they'd learn from the experience with Osama and the Taliban. There are some er... types of people you're really better off not selling weapons to.

Texas assassinated a criminal as well.

But here's an interesting, and shocking fact:

Professor Douglas said: 'Our research has shown for the first time the role that conspiracy theories can play in determining an individual's attitude to everyday crime. It demonstrates that people subscribing to the view that others have conspired might be more inclined toward unethical actions.'

Dr Dan Jolley, of Staffordshire University, said: 'People believing in conspiracy theories are more likely to be accepting of everyday crime, while exposure to theories increases a feeling of anomie, which in turn predicts increased future everyday crime intentions.'

I'm baffled as to how these opinions of unknown academics have even the slightest bearing on the topic.

So I'm going to have to say:

So I'm going to have to say: Check the title of this thread.

Here's one for you now: Canadians are in the habit of saying "Sorry" so frequently, that in 2009 a law was passed stating that saying "Sorry" is not an admission of guilt.
Probably not that interesting, but it was something to contribute.

A bit less paranoia wouldn't hurt either.

So you don't think this guy is accurate or believable?

An 18:42 video of a journalist speaking at a local council meeting somewhere in England is a test of my attention span. Maybe you have found a more accurate and believable source, and if you have, thanks for taking my advice. I'll try and sit through it sometime soon.

In your country with no official religion - there are almost as many Buddhists as Muslims. And the numbers are increasing.

Yes, Australia is nominally Christian (at best), and while our laws may be "Judeo-Christian based", saying that is as relevant as saying that a 2019 Mercedes AMG C63s is based on the 1886 Benz Patent Motorcar. Cars have progressed a long way in 133 years, and laws have progressed further in many thousands of years more.

Interesting fact: Of the Ten Commandments, commandments 1, 2 and 3 are irrelevant to Australian law.

(PS: Commandments 4, 6, 9 and 10 are almost irrelevant, which leaves Australian law dealing with commandments 5, 7 and 8.)
