Ford Australia look to be developing a car-based ute (opposed to a ranger) on the... Focus chassis. The guinea pig is running a 2.0L 4cyl, but the article (and I) think there's no reason why they couldn't bolt in the higher performance Focus RS turbo range. And the kicker... could it be AWD? Not sure on the sizing of new transferc cases/diffs, but I guess it wouldn't want to eat up too much of the tub? I'm sure it would fit.
If it's turbo (opposed to an RWD 8) it has to be AWD. Having said that, I guess tradies just want to cart around stuff, rather than head to the track.

Would be quite a big larger but I was thinking the same thing.
Ford fans be proud. History of Australian motor racing shows Ford has been and will always be superior. They have to slow them down when they get serious about racing. The Phase 4 scared the **** out of people, they banned it. Sierra gets called on a technicality, Falcon EF "...had its wings clipped to make Holden part of the show", AU not allowed to show it's potential, Falcon BF gets clipped. Mustang Is so good Supercars made up a rule and gets a bag of cement in the roof, and it still wins.
