With Super 2 getting improved prize money for 2020, will it have decent fields?

Their attempt to poach some slightly older models from Super 3 seems to have failed with the short term Super 3 reverting to Kumho series and extending the middle finger to Supercars and matching Super 2 prize increases.

Most existing Super 2 Teams will continue with their business model, but dropouts may have cars for sale.

Kellys have announced an additional 2 or 3 cars.

The big questions, in my mind, are what happens to the KBR and 888 efforts.

The Kostekis have 2 Super 2 and one converted Super 1 car. Jake and Brodie will get some main game drives, but not a full season, so will they enter their cars in Super 2 or what. I wonder if their Super 1 car will be used? Maybe KBR will close now that it has served its purpose.

888 didn't own the cars. It was a BYO operation. Will they find new customers with cars? Grove is not continuing, although his car may be available.

Later:
MSR will not be entering Super 2.

Randle moves to the MW Motorsport Altima:

Good move, going into the current title winner. Dare say that Tickford either loaned him, or played their cards right.
I still see Randle as a shoe-in for the next vacant Tickford Super1 seat.

These moves highlight some probable 888 built cars available.

KBR might to be closing with Jake to MSR Super 1 and Brodie to Eggleston. KBR had a Super 1 car, now owned by MSR, and the Super 2 cars run by Brodie and Kurt. Maybe Kurt will again use his car out of the 888 workshop as in 2019, or run KBR going as a single car team?

MSR is out of Super 2 and they had two cars there, although MSR might not have been the owner. Maybe they will update one to Super 1 as a spare.

The Grove car run out of 888 in 2019 is in limbo with Brendon retiring from Super 2 to replace Dad Stephen in the family business.

Several of these cars had a significant history as 888 main game cars. Brendons is ex-Craig Lowndes. Maybe they will be grabbed by collectors.

I had a little chuckle when I read this

Iím really excited to be joining Matthew White Motorsport for the 2020 Dunlop Super2 Series,Ē said Randle.

ďMatt has plenty of history in the sport, after forming his team in 2000 to further his own career, so itís great to be driving for someone who is an ex-racer and has a huge amount of knowledge.

Who does he think Rod Nash and Rusty French are? Chopped Liver???

Good luck to Thomas Randle with his cancer battle.

Sounds like heíll be on the grid in Adelaide, which is great news.

RIP LJ - loved and never forgotten.

"It was dry for the second go-around. Grice, nervous, worrying about his Bathurst jinx, ran 2:25.9. The amazing Brock, using every last centimetre of bitumen, yet keeping the car straight and balanced and at full noise, came back with a staggering 2:20.0 as if to say: "Match that". And people just shook their heads, bit their lips and wondered who would be second".

The Peter Brock trophy is now where it belongs.

It was surprising to hear.
Seems they caught it early - fantastic news!
