Gentlemen, allow me to step up during these troubled times.

We are beset by this horrible virus that is not only impinging upon our favorite hobbies, but upon our very lives themselves.

I have been in discussion with a member of V8 Central and the aforementioned topic was tabled. We deserve to treat ourselves to what is available to us until we can swim back to what we know is land and get back onto solid ground. We are all in this together.

I am volunteering to organize and run a V8 Central All Stars Eseries Fantasy Comp whilst our actual series is in lockdown. In no way, shape, or form is this associated with or related to the current V8 Central Fantasy League. Said league will operate independently of any Eseries events/results. The Eseries comp will be subsequently run and updated in the V8 Central Thread, labeled as the V8 Supercar Fantasy League. You know where the thread is.

No money involved.

The V8 Central All Stars Eseries Comp will use the results of the ten scheduled rounds associated with the Eseries.

I cannot set a format just yet, for I have to wait for the official round schedule to be provided by the sanctioning body, but said format will be provided once the goods are produced.

We have to keep our spirits up, gentlemen. We will get through this and we will once again go back to a more normal habit of life.

Until then, we might as well see what everybody has from the neck up while trying to figure out what these drivers are going to do in simulated comp.

Let me ramble on with this..... I can remember years back, 15-20 or so, the US had a great TV show called Wind Tunnel. It was a nightly talk and call-in show about current motorsport. All forms. The host, Dave Despain, was describing to young viewers one night about the difference between video/computer racing games and the real thing.

When you start your video game, sit next to your fireplace with a brick and a stack of $50 bills. Every time you wreck/shunt, take the brick, hit yourself in the head, and throw a $50 bill into the fireplace. Then hit RESET. How long do you want to play before you realize you are going broke?

That is the difference between sim and real.

I hope to see whoever wants to join in to pass the time in a few days.

Waiting on the Eseries schedule from across the pond, and happy to provide this service, your Yank mate,

Mike

As soon as they release their ten race, or so, schedule, we will be a go.

Monza, eh?

1/4:

Still waiting on the calendar. I will give it a couple of days and if it is not produced by then we'll leave port nonetheless and set our sails windward and play it by ear from there. We'll eventually wind up SOMEWHERE.

Stay tuned.

I don't think they'll release the whole calendar at once.
They're already mooting different formats etc for each event - dare say they're making them up on the fly, and so too the tracks.

At this stage all systems go for P.I. and Monza.

I guess I'll get cracking then.

Only question: Are Zane Goddard and Jake Kostecki running separate cars or are they sharing the 34 car? Once I get this, we'll have lift off.

Anyone?
