Just picked up 1:24 Marcos Ambrose 2011 Watkins Glen 'raced' model. It's got all the rub marks on it as the car did when it won the race.

that's pretty cool giving a "race finish" model rather than a showroom one.

I was actually thinking the same thing. Imagine if you could get Skaifey's Oran Park car from '08, complete with rub marks and that dent on the bonnet. I would buy that in a flash.

It's pretty authentic! I was surprised at the detailing.

Imagine if they reproduced DJ's XE after it went through the trees at the top of Conrod?!

Delivered today was the 1:18 2006 Kelly/Kelly Toll HSV car. That completes my Bathurst Walkinshaw driver swap set, and pretty much my HSVDT collection, also owning the 2006 and '07 Championship cars.

I wonder if they're doing a 2012 Tru-Blu FG model. I hope they do, because I think that'd be great for a collection.

Wouldn't Classic have a shot at it as well?

No because DJR are not one of their contracted teams.

Well Biante then, my point was I thought a more mainstream company would take it on.

Edit: I see now after a look on Apex Replicas website, they do a lot of the DJR stuff. Are they the contracted ones to do all of DJR's stuff?

Yes Apex now do the DJR cars ever since the company that was doing the cars for Biante went Bankrupt.

Apex Replicas have a deal to do the DJR V8 Supercars, Biante are still doing the Dick Johnson Collection. The problem facing Classic Carlectables is that the factories now want a minimum quantity of 1000 which in todays climate is difficult to move unless the Team or Sponsors take a large amount..

Apex Replicas is growing all the time, look for some very special releases in the future.
