I have started a thread already over the board, this is a big story, perhaps the biggest story of the year...

That's great, it starts with an earthquake
Birds and snakes, and aeroplanes
And Lenny Bruce is not afraid!
"Remember that in the end nobody wins, unless everybody wins!" Springsteen BTR.

Yes, it's a development item (together with the front suspension).

I can't imagine the front upright itself costs $100,000 per item, but it is a CNC machined aluminium billet rather than mild steel so that increases the cost, you do need to design the thing, and you do need to make spares & new suspension arms to match any time you make an updated design.

Control front suspension would be a worthwhile decision, as there are no complaints about the cost-effective and durable control rear suspension. :)

That was one of the items discussed as part of The Dudes cost cutting measures.

I do love the releases from WAU regarding the former Mega backing though.

WAU "terminated" their sponsorship deal with Mega. Didn't it terminate itself when the receivers were brought in?

It is possible that WAU could have continued with the sponsorship, if there is a contract, but that might have just added WAU to the creditors list and unlikely to recover that amount.

I also suspect that if the contract was not terminated, then WAU would be obliged to run MEGA company advertising.

This way they can try to sell the sides for actual money leading up to the major televised races.

7-eleven, the major Mobil oil seller, might even be persuaded by Mobil.

They better hope there isn't a repeat of the 2014 scenario otherwise we'll be finishing well after sunset.

I guess that's the price of faster cars every year, shorter races.

I do miss the days of the 10am start.

RIP LJ - loved and never forgotten.

"It was dry for the second go-around. Grice, nervous, worrying about his Bathurst jinx, ran 2:25.9. The amazing Brock, using every last centimetre of bitumen, yet keeping the car straight and balanced and at full noise, came back with a staggering 2:20.0 as if to say: "Match that". And people just shook their heads, bit their lips and wondered who would be second".

The Peter Brock trophy is now where it belongs.

Scotty might be finished by lunchtime.

Hopefully not!

I'd like to see him complete the race.

My dad says that you used to watch the start over breakfast and a cuppa. Now it's nearly lunch time when it starts and yeah you're right, well and truly beer o'clock.

Inspired by former Supercars driver and close friend Max Wilson, the ex-Ferrari F1 star admits the Bathurst 1000 is on his bucket list.

There is at least one co-driver seat available and it could entice extra sponsorship to pay the bills.

How about a Wild card with Reubins and Max?
