Also is the old Focus. Can't see them wanting to race an old, outdated car...

I reckon the other thread should be left to the spoilers, and this should be for general discussion.

In the recent Enforcer/Dude episode, Morris was saying there should be a deal for TCR to run as a supercars support.

I reckon that's BS. Any potential of tcr to expand the popularity of domestic motorsport in Australia would just get lost within the attention supercars get.

TCR isn't going to boost the attendance for supercars races. So atm if we take attendance at PI as an example. It's better for Aus motorsport that tcr and supercars are separate, with the 5000(?) that went to tcr, and 20,000-25000(?) going to the supercars race.

Otherwise the supercars event will still have its attendance, and the SN will go back to almost nothing.

Why would TCR wan't to sacrifice their superior FTA TV deal to play in a support act?

The explanation is that TCR globally maintain the BOP, and after analysing data from all TCR series, they have adjusted the BOP.

Someone has math problems:

quote:
Garry Rogers Motorsport and Kelly Racing respectively have been handed a weight break with the Alfa Romeo Giulietta and Opel Astra carrying 20kg less in BoP weight.

quote:
For The Bend, the series leading Hyundais will carry the maximum 60kg compensation weight, the Alfas 50kg,

If 60kg is the maximum, how can 50kg be 20 kg less

https://www.speedcafe.com/2019/07/12/tcr-issues-balance-of-performance-update/

With an alleged 20kg weight drop on a race winner, the Alfa seems to have done well.

Meanwhile, Garry's birthday is on the 29th and he is getting three more Alfas. Happy Birthday.

(Could GRM's coffers have received a BOOST from the sale of some surplus non-performing parts of the business? )

It's nice that they're on the GP supports. I feel it was inevitable even at this early stage. I just hope it's not a series round.

The accuracy of the Natsoft feed (which feeds into TV timing) has been terrible with TCR this season. Bright's VWs have been spelt as "Volkswagons" all season, Ribarits' name was spelt as Ribartis at PI, Heimgartner's still listed in a Subaru today.

We're all here, we're the Bathurst boys; and you can't hear Richo above the noise...

Something I've noticed on SEN1116 the past week is a promotion/competition for the Sandown round of the Shannons Nationals. Now as we all know, SN rounds aren't exactly much sought after events where you can make heaps scalping them. It's effectively a state meet with a National classification.

My interpretation was that this is a means of promoting TCR to the wider public.
