Also, if CFD is so flawless, why are Supercars reserving the right to chop even more aero off the Mustang?

Because it's guesswork, that's why.

Isn't opinion and guesswork the same thing? If CFD isn't opinion, how can it he guesswork?

All fact finding starts with opinion or guesswork. Guessing that there was a need to find facts. Results suggested that CFD analysis was needed. CFD analysis proved that there was a parity adjustments imbalance.
If CFD analysis showed no imbalance changes would not have been made.
Yes I believe that.

I'm guessing now - CFD was probably not part of previous aero checks because it never previously appeared to be required. last years early season imbalances was COG related and dealt with after round one.

Perhaps CFD will be routinely used n future.

You appear to be very confused. You might need to re-read a couple of posts slowly. Move your lips if it helps.

And if you really believe there was ANY chance of the Mustang's aero not being clipped, I've got some nice harbour real estate you might like to buy. It's cheap!

Not only was it cut back once, it will be cut again too, (even after all that "scientific" CFD bull****) if the Holdens don't start winning.

This isn't an application of technical parity. It's performance ballast.

Can you ever manage to argue a point without the personal crap? Probably not, given the huge amount of evidence against you. Maybe better full of hate than full of ****....

Performance ballast?

Mustangs wings may be clipped further if more technical data is obtained over time revealing that adjustments are required to achieve aero parity.

Performance parity would require Holdsworth's wings to be extended so he wins as many races as everyone else.

djr18fan... The first sentence of your above post really made me laugh! Thankyou!

Here's the really funny thing, Karter seems to be a Ford fan, I assume with the name djr18fan, your a Ford fan, I'm a Ford... Why the **** are we arguing when Ford is winning everything is sight, is the dominant team & the chamipionship is pretty much already settled & won by DJRTP? The only question to be answered for 2019 is will Ford win Bathurst & the more the cut from the Mustang, the quicker it will be at Bathurst!! FFS, lets stop & enjoy it!! Guys, Ford is winning!!

Precisely what technical data? Downforce? Less than the Holdens and Nissans. That's already been established.

How exactly are they acquiring this new technical data? Measuring downforce using load cells? No. They're simply guessing, based on race results.

And Joe, some people pretend to be supporters of one side when they actually aren't. They think it lends greater credibility to their criticism of the side they supposedly support.

It's pathetic and dishonest, but some people are like that.

I followed Seton for decades & then Frosty & I own a FG XR6T Falcon. I'm a Ford fan!

I havn't criticised Ford once, just some of their fans!! I don't see the world in Blue colour glasses even if I am a Ford fan.. Sorry for that!! Also, I'm not the worlds biggest DJRTP fan, due to what DJR did to Seton, so I will admit I have mixed feeling seeing DJRTP dominating, even if a Ford! Having Aaron Seton working inside DJRTP, helps me build a bridge on the whole DJR/ Seton thing a little bit. I'm quite open & honest about that!!

But man are we getting off topic!

Yet another thread with some promise that's been derailed with some personal agendas.
