While I know it will never be safe, I meant that I do find it pretty safe as modern racing is much safer than older racing.

The camera angle seemed to 'dull' the actual force of both impacts on Marco.

With the frontal area of a MotoGP bike and the speed that both Colin and Vale where traveling at, it would have been like getting struck by a Mack truck at 100ks.

I am not surprised something on the helmet failed, there is only so much impact force they can take, and this time the capability of the helmet was exceeded as helmets are designed to take a direct blow to the shell, not an impact between the helmet and the riders body which is where Vale's front wheel connected with Marco.

MotoGP is much safer than it has ever been but **** still happens, sadly its all part of the game.

New Commodore Hey! So you used your own money? Would you like to buy a used bridge?
