I thought it was interesting too. Jorge nearly fell over the handlebars as he came to a stop.

agree the bike swap made for great tv... the riders did a great job there... would have loved to be in there with the camera for that action!

Chris Vermeulen said on TV that Dorna might look at this idea seriously (bike swapping) to lengthen grands prix in a bid to spice up MotoGP, not that it really needs spicing up at the moment.

Yeah. Even better, how about making the riders swap to different rider's bikes? And have half the field ride clockwise, the other half anti clockwise. Throw in a few jumps, a water hazard.... maybe a machine gun nest?

How about water jets that randomly blast the riders. Perhaps they could have one going into T1 at PI?

MotoGP has lost its way.

Close call between Jorge and Marc on the straight, just as Jorge feared could happen.

Marc being disqualified was not about safety. The penalty should have been a ride-thru. In any event it made the next half boring as no one was there to race Jorge.

MotoGP is a cost control series in regard to testing, like almost everything else now.
So instead of coming out to Australia the teams test longer at the same venue, in this region it is Malaysia.

However, as every event run at PI since resurfacing has been faster, you would have thought that was picked up in the bike racing (tyre) world. Could have sent out a few sets of tyres and a single test bike to get some reference data.

The whole DSQ of Marc Marquez is just to tighten up the championship. Two rounds remaining in Japan and Spain. Sounds like a big crowd in Spain to see which Spaniard is crowned WC!

Just like the late SC at Bathurst to make the race exciting

Abit of a black eye for the event and the series i thought... watching the news reports on Sunday night, they had little clue what had gone on and most just labelled it a farce.

Marquez broke the (hastily written) rules and deserved a penalty, but surely a ride-through would have sufficed, seeing as all Pedrosa got for speeding in the pits was to drop 1 place.
