Brundle, AJ, John Bowe, Ant Davidson are just some of the drivers that think it was wrong. There's more but I can try and find them.

It was a very good pass.

RIP LJ - loved and never forgotten.

"It was dry for the second go-around. Grice, nervous, worrying about his Bathurst jinx, ran 2:25.9. The amazing Brock, using every last centimetre of bitumen, yet keeping the car straight and balanced and at full noise, came back with a staggering 2:20.0 as if to say: "Match that". And people just shook their heads, bit their lips and wondered who would be second".

The Peter Brock trophy is now where it belongs.

Why though? I don't see any suggestion that Toto is favouring either driver. Early in the season, all the Hamilton fans were saying that the team were favouring Nico!

There's nothing to suggest Mercedes favour either driver. Early in the season Hamilton had a lot of engine problems which resulted in Rosberg gaining a big lead in the championship. What made some suspicious was that Mercedes swapped the driver's teams, then Lewis had all these problems. But I seriously doubt if there was anything planned in this, just coincidence.

Some might suspect a German manufacturer would favour a German driver too, but again, I doubt it would be a real factor.

As long as Merc drivers end up 1-2, and Merc wins the constructor's championship, I don't think they care much which order the drivers finish in.

Lewis has now gained a useful lead in the championship, simply by being the better driver. He'll soon lose some of it - Nico will most likely win Monza, (Unless he ****s up again) because due to the early season unreliability Lewis is going to have to take a 6th engine. Monza would be the logical place to do this, it's very much a power circuit, and passing is easier than most tracks.

To be honest I wasn't aware that Mercedes changed Lewis and Nico's crews. Was it even reported in the motorsport media or did it stay quiet?

The irony is that the Lewis fans (the ********s, not the real fans) who claim Mercedes want the German driver to win for the German team, are the same ones who always refer to Nico as Monegasque, Finnish or Austrian before they'll call him German.

I'm just glad to see an intelligent comment from a Hamilton fan to be honest mate.

Yeah Lewis mentioned the crew switch thing when things were going wrong.

Hasn't mentioned it for a while though...

and now some twat is saying they shouldn't be made to race on the track... why even bother with track boundaries if the drivers pay no attention to them?

The track boundary thing is tricky. Obviously the cars should stay on the actual circuit. But equally obviously drivers are going to want to use every millimetre of usable surface.

The track boundary issue is a symptom of F1 requiring tracks with acres of sealed runoff.

Sure, but the sealed runoff improves safety. Other alternatives could be more dangerous. It's not an easy one to fix.

It's only more dangerous if you're a **** driver.

It's OK we know you're a motorsport legend. You don't have to keep making idiotic statements in an effort to prove it.

It's not just "Stupid Lewis Hamilton fanboys" who've made these types of comments though.

People reckoned RBR favoured Vettel over Webber, now it's supposedly Verstappen over Ricciardo, people reckoned McLaren was favouring Hamilton (in his first season of F1) over the reigning WDC in Alonso... Alonso himself claimed Renault gave Trulli (FFS!) better cars than him, then went on to accuse McLaren of shafting him too...

It's always been going on. (The accusations, not necessarily the team bias.)
