Adrian Burgess is a smart man, he made himself look better then he actually was by using those around him to prop him up. Sadly at the real HRT or What ever the **** they were named when he was there he didnít have that gift and sadly It was already a stale toxic place to be. They had the budget, the staff and the technology and they ****ed it all in the ass by allowing misery and whinging to guide their way, nothing short of a total overhaul 2005-2010 would of helped anyone there. Ryan is the start of that misery.

Adrian did well in Australia managing 888 built cars.

Sadly, the cars at Walkinshaws were simply not competitive and they apparently did not know how to fix them, a condition that still continues.

The car issue is even worse when one considers that the Walkinshaw engines are very competitive in the cars of engine customers.

Erebus started with Walkinshaw cars and then built much improved and competitive cars, although still using a lot of Walkinshaw bits and engines, and they are a much smaller team.

Maybe WAU would do well to buy the designs off Erebus to make their cars competitive, if they continue with Commodores.

I reckon a former Walkinshaw employee who is now at Erebus has a fair bit to do with that!

The great 2019 poll about whether Tricky should be banned or not ended in favour of Tricky staying, 75% to 25%

WAU have found how how to win!

Apparently you don't use race cars and play computer games.

I might get a off topic sticker for this but it needs to be said.

Walkinshaw is a total tosspot.

Start SJ's podcast at 23 minutes as to why.

On reflection, I feel that my assessment of WAU may have been a bit harsh on the team personnel including those in senior roles.

The problem with even superb and experienced engineers is that they must work within the financial and equipment restraints imposed by management.

There is an old public service standard that people are promoted to their level of incompetence. That is: if someone is the best at a certain level, then they are chosen for promotion. If the have difficulty with the new job, they stagnate there instead of resuming the role that they are experts at.

In a private business, there really needs to be a hands on Owner overseeing the business.

WAU has lacked this and excellent and knowledgeable engineers have been shoved into quasi management roles, that vary from there area of expertise, apparently without the financial tools to rectify any problems that arise.

Some have left and their special knowledge in a role most suited to them has proved beneficial to other teams.

WAU has a good core group here in Australia.
