We Back, We Back, We Back
What a strange few months it has been. Engines were started, cars were raced, and crowds made noise. Then it all stopped. This past weekend, engines were started, cars were raced, and the only crowds were seagulls and ibises from the nearby tip. Oh, and "essential" people that were essential to the running of things.
After an almost three month hiatus, the V8 Central Fantasy League was back, bitches. However, it may all be put on hold yet again if Victorians don't stop attracting the plague. If they do, it could be another three months before we race, and by then, the crowd may be zombies. Strange times indeed.
"We've survived the lockdown pretty much intact" says Nutrien Ag Team Gunnedah team owner Craig Paterson. "Our sponsorship group were happy to play the waiting game to see if we ever did return, and we have, so apart from a few calendar changes, we are pretty much good to go."
"The return to racing has been pretty damn good" said Chaz Exotic. "That bitch Carole Baskin did her best to derail be but here I stand". After Chaz Mostert dropped his Joe Exotic persona, he said other things. "It's good, but weird to have go racing again after such a long time off, after going racing again after some time off. The car was good, I was good. The rest of the year should be good. Hopefully".
Nutrien Ag Team Gunnedah would like to thank their valued sponsors Nutrien Ag Solutions, CRT, Kenworth Trucks, Fleetmark, TengTools, Pit Viper Sunglasses, Pioneer Seeds, Mobil 1 and Ford Performance. We will see you next month at Winton. Or maybe next year, or maybe never. Who knows?
