By far the penrite and WAU HRT liveries are the best this year.

Agree, I am over the whole retro livery concept but these 2 have to be the best or very close to the best 2 retros done to date.

I was no HRT fan but I loved the 1998/99 liveries so great to see it so well represented - however it does leave me with a tinge of greed in that I wished that a) they still Mobil as lead sponsor so that it was even closer to the original and b) that WAU were allowed to use the lion and helmet on previous retro liveries.

We're all here, we're the Bathurst boys; and you can't hear Richo above the noise...

Why are Walkinshaw now allowed to use the lion/helmet? I thought there was a big deal made about not being able to use it?

Hi Skaifeman... Holden allowed them to use it, and there was no other objections elsewhere. I think it's one of those situations where everyone involved or affected put aside commercial stuff, and thought about the category and fans first. I don't think there's any losers, and the winner is your Holden supporter in this case.

All for it PP. Holden gains massively out of it IMO.
Red Bull seem to target the pre-Walkinshaw historic stuff anyway so I don't think there's a mix of 'factory' image there... not for one round anyway.

The #55 Supercheap Ford looks more like the Allan Grice/Win Percy VL from 1987 then it does the Moffat Mustang.

The Supercheap Mustang looks like ****.

The 99 HRT retro also doesnít suit the ZB, though it could be the Winning logos that ruin it.

Love the Erebus cars.

Tend to agree. They look great (seriously awesome) in photos, but it doesn't translate very well on TV.

I love the Tekno/Morris livery. The upward lines at the rear line up with the ZB tail light. Works well.
As for the Erebus cars - black and gold always works, but like the Monster car, gets old really quickly.

Update:
I hope GRM run something commemorative. A 00-06 style livery. 2001 with the flames on the front quarter panel would be ideal.

Maybe 2007-09 would suit their current corporate colours better, could run dark grey with orange accents (as opposed to the red used).
