Scott's current US visit is a bit of a wash out so far.

I'm sure if he goes it would be a big bump in $$$ alongside the challenge that he craves.

Ambrose was making more money than all the paid drivers in the supercars series put together.
It's a shame to see Mclaughlin go. He is a talent and even after the aero free kicks that the Opel got he was the only Mustang runner that matched it with the faster Opel drivers.

That's why i'm concerned with all the changes to the Mustang we are going to hear Rolands bull**** from years gone that it's sporting parity and not technical parity why they're winning

Ambrose left at the peak of his powers and McLaughlin seems to be doing the same.

I wonder why the likes of SVG and Whincup who are two of the best don't look for more lucrative drives.
Whincup stays here on a million a year and buys a bit of Redbull racing (no not 888 Race engineering. Thats where the money is Dane will never let any of that go) and starts a coffee shop and carwash.
Ambrose spends a few years in the USofA and starts a now
world renowned wilderness lodge in Tasmanias highlands.

Not sure we need to compare?

For the sake of the pissing contest, SVG:
Competes around the world in GT3 cars often enough, won the Blancpain GT series, B12HR, does the odd drift event in NZ, from memory he was at the RC championships 4-5 years ago?
I don't think money is a driver... and neither would it be for Scotty.

Who are we to decide what makes one happier than the next. Either way, they're all doing alright in the bank dept.

Scott would be a major loss to our series. Major.

These guys are like footballers. They have a limited timeframe to set themselves up for the rest of their lives.
There are only so many supercars paid positions and you have to look at Ingall to what happens when you lose your income from motorsport. You get to start up some pissy Video show that bans half it followers because they called them out on the 888 feed lies about the DJRTP engines

if these guys aren't thinking of how much money they are making they should be

If one million dollars a year (your figure) isn't enough to set them up, then something else is wrong.

RIP LJ - loved and never forgotten.

"It was dry for the second go-around. Grice, nervous, worrying about his Bathurst jinx, ran 2:25.9. The amazing Brock, using every last centimetre of bitumen, yet keeping the car straight and balanced and at full noise, came back with a staggering 2:20.0 as if to say: "Match that". And people just shook their heads, bit their lips and wondered who would be second".

The Peter Brock trophy is now where it belongs.

I love how the keyboard worriers insist that drivers should pack up and head overseas for the sake of money. I reckon most of you lot wouldnít even move towns for a few extra bucks, let alone countries. Iím sure I could earn more in my industry if I moved to Europe, but that would mean leaving the life I love, the family and friends I love and the country I love. Sure, people do it, but itís just not me. Maybe itís not Jamie Whincup either.
Get over yourselves.

I reckon more to the point, he was 2/4 of the Penske drivers.
Testing or not, a fine result.
