Tyre barriers and sand are such old technology. You'd think things would've progressed much further by now. I keep thinking back to the barriers like the ones used at Supercars street races. They could have multiple ones of a lighter weight to account for the lack of HANS devices in this case. But it's probably just as much up to the drivers competing to demand and pay for them.

No need to apologise Zac.
Zac an Henry are on the money.
All the track safety in the world won't save a car with street brakes and over a thousand HP with the throttle stuck wide open.
That sort of HP over runs the brakes once you're going quick enough.
It's a real shame. Both blokes from the reports i've heard were decent people.

I see my mates XW gets a gig on the News report. He was racing his daughter in her Nissan when he broke traction and lost it. The XW turns 1244HP at the rear wheels
