Good - was a fairly blatant jink to the right.

Jay Penske's team, Dragon Racing, is down to 1 car for the rest of the series as it could only secure a single engine lease from Chevrolet after divorcing from Lotus. Bourdais will drive the road & street tracks, Legge the ovals.

And more worringly, according to veteran journalist Robin Miller, four Chevy-powered teams are lobbying for the sacking of Randy Bernard and....wait for it..... Brian Barnhart installed as replacement! Just as everything was getting sorted out and Indy is back on the up.....

Why are they calling to sack Randy Bernard when he has injected new life into Indycar? Does it have something to do with the handling of the Lotus engine problems?

Brian Barnhart, as in the bloke who messed everything up and was fired at the end of last year?

Yep, The team owners only care about themselves (ie..them winning)

Barnhart ruined the racing and made a whole heap of silly calls, but he let the team owners run the asylum so they loved him (similiarly why they loved Tony George)

Randy Bernard though does have the backing of the IMS board, and importantly has turned around the HUGE losses the series had under George and Barnhart.... he'll see out the storm i think, but its not a good look.

The Chevy team owners are unhappy that Honda got given a rule break from Long Beach onwards which meant that Chevrolet lost their (admittedly hard earned) advantage.

Randy Bernard has been the best thing to happen for the sport since the split and if somehow the teams put Brian Barnhart in charge it would be the DEATH of indycar racing

Chevrolet would be fuming, and so they should!!

Honda was nowhere before they put that advantage swing in Favour of Honda.

Chevrolet got 8 of the top 9 spots in Indy qualifying, and came within a few laps of winning with Kanaan (complete with Servia 4th and Briscoe 5th)

It was abit of a dodgy rule change, but it more even now than anything, rather than swung in Honda's way.
