Hopefully the Bunnies will find a role for him with the team.

Bennett would of given him the old man bennet speech at the start of the season and this would of come from his 2nd speech he gives which is "it's either this or reserve grade when your back"

Look out for Boyd 2020 move now

Boyd won't be going to Souths in 2020 or any other time to play footy.
If you think Benny would have given a speech like that you don't know him that well. If he doesn't want someone he just says, "You're gone."

Can you name a player who is better than Cam at what he does and how he does it?
For mine, Mitchell is far more smug.

I don't see either as "smug". Cam is a great player coming to the end of his playing career, while Mitchell is going to be a great player not far into the beginning of his career. Both have belief in themselves and have every reason to show self-confidence - if that's what being smug might be. Either way, that was a great game last night.

I have no doubt Latrell is smug, but it's there, open to see.
Cam works with a mask on, fake, the nice guy mirage. Don't get me wrong, he's a competitor and one of the best in the game and probably (avoiding some of the rumours) a good guy off the field, but he expects to win and it really shows.

Zac is right, fantastic game. It's clear as day that Cronk has had the better of his old team, both results wise, strategically and mentally.

No official statement or release yet but Gus has quit the Panthers.
I wonder what the next club he's going to destroy is?

Gus doesn't get on with the Chairman, Dave O'Neill, and he also doesn't get along with the coach, Ivan Cleary. Feelings mutual the other way, and it's been building for a while.
No news if he has found a new home where he can throw his weight around in yet.

There is. My "source" hears stuff all the time, and that one was 50/50 and firming a bit atm. Could well be, and I could start a "Heard on the grapevine" thread with goss if you want. It'd have a better than 50/50 success rate, but there's always a lot of stuff going around, some of which couldn't be stated publicly.

Maybe we could do a joint Grapevine thread...

The 'Grapevine' that I'm seeing either say Cronulla or St George... hoping he stays away from the Red V.

The latest grapevine is neither.
He won't be joining any club for the foreseeable future.
Now, whether foreseeable is 1 day, 1 month or 1 year is the moot point.

It'll be interesting to see if all of the Magic Round fixtures are a sell out.

And which match has the biggest crowd.
Normally it would be the Broncs but I'm not so sure at the moment.

Broncos vs Manly. 13th plays 6th on Friday night, and a FTA game.
My guess is that Storm vs Eels, 4th plays 5th on Saturday night, and Roosters vs Raiders, 1st plays 3rd on Sunday afternoon will be the crowd drawers this weekend.

LATE EDIT:Tonight's (Friday) double header with Wests Tigers vs Penrith Panthers, 9th plays 15th, before the Broncos vs Manly game is heading for a sell-out. I don't know how the TV ratings will go, but I'll be watching both.

Over 40000 there.
The Tigers floored the Panthers so Zac will be happy and the Broncos fnally started to play some footy.
They won but there's still a long way to go.

Old man Bennett pumping up his halves for origin. Can South's afford to lose them for a few weeks though? Keary has got to be a certainty

Ivan has pretty much single handedly **** the Panthers in the ass along also any hope of Maloney and Nathan holding their origin spot. I am not a fan of Gus or his 5 year plan but I think he has got the last laugh now he jumped off the sinking ship.
