Just finishing up 'Living with a Legend' by Bev Brock.
Apart from all her own 'fluff' it does give an insight into the team, mainly the Commodore HDT era. A few cheeky digs at Holden/Crennan throughout as well (as well as lots of good stuff too).

RIP LJ - loved and never forgotten.

"It was dry for the second go-around. Grice, nervous, worrying about his Bathurst jinx, ran 2:25.9. The amazing Brock, using every last centimetre of bitumen, yet keeping the car straight and balanced and at full noise, came back with a staggering 2:20.0 as if to say: "Match that". And people just shook their heads, bit their lips and wondered who would be second".

The Peter Brock trophy is now where it belongs.

Because of inaccuracies, or he didnít want people to see Bevís point of view on Brocky?

Speedcafe were giving away signed copies of Brett Murray's autobiography and I just happened to win one.

From the chapters I read so far, he does seem like quite an interesting character.

Reading ďMy Greatest DefeatĒ, a collection of interviews with champion drivers, discussing the lowest moments in their lives, and how they rose from it. Featured are the likes of Zanardi, Lauda, Pirro, Stewart, Damon Hill, Vatanen, Bobby Unser, Franchitti, Saint, Mario Andretti... compelling read...

The DJR book should have turned up today for those who preordered it. I'll hook into it when I finish the other one I started reading.

Noonz definitely makes a buck on the books - even with all the research time IMO.
That said, the final product is fantastic. I got HRT: The Cars (purely because it was the end of the era, so a complete wrap up), and I rate it highly.

He's also releasing a Holden in Motorsport book. Covering ATCC, Rallies, endurance events etc. Again, seeing as Holden is done, it makes a nice 'end of story' book. I may have to splurge.

Yeah I have got his Holden books in the past and they are good.

As an enthusiast and a fan I can somewhat justify the cost but not if Iím just one. I would read that DJR book in a heartbeat, but wonít pay that amount. Unless I fall arse backwards into cash!
