Looked like a fantastic event. Glad to see Perth get around it.
Will we see more night races? I think so!

And yes, Scott was merely managing at the end there - as he has for all of his wins. He hasn't been challenged by anyone for the lead yet!
How good was his qualfying lap, he jumped on the throttle so early mid-bowl and it just stuck it to the ground opposed to the slow feed balancing wheel spin others get!

Interesting!

When DJR/TP do it (allegedly), it is called managing.

When 888 do it (allegedly), it is called sandbagging.

In reality DJR/TP do not want their cars winning by a big margin as such wins draw the attention of the tech guys.

Some do love the term sandbagging.
I bet you can guess who.

It was noticeable that some teams made a big effort with fancy lights on their cars.

Just a tip guys: If you want to be noticed, try putting the effort into getting your cars running at the front.

Fancy lighting is only needed to get your cars noticed when they are back in the pack and uncompetitive.

The Ford contribution of lit Mustangs on the grills was a nice subtle touch, but they were clearer on the front running cars.

It was looked at, nothing to it apparently, was a bit of a surprise!

Perhaps they have instigated a pity clause for the Nissans as they are still nowhere 5 years in!

5 years in could be the problem.

What do you do to get airtime for the sponsors paying the bills if you are an owner/driver?

Well, the cars aren't front runners and the pretty lights don't really help much if the cameras aren't on the cars.

Oh, Yeh: how about running through a whole row of styrene signs. That will look spectacular and get lots of repeat TV. In fact, let's do it twice. That will really excite the talking heads.

They have spent all that time and Nissan money arseing about with a Nissan truck engine.

Well, Nissan have skedaddled.

Time to shove in a Ford or Chev engine and rebrand it as a category engine. Surely the cars have all that is necessary, engines excepted, to be competitive.

The cars do well in Super 2 when racing amongst other obsolete models.

Simona showed some potential when racing on a nice smooth Euro style circuit. Give that girl a decent engine.
