Could be a tough call for Anton if he gets offered both a T8 and DJRTP drive! Considering Whincup's part-ownership stake, I can't imagine him stepping aside without a succession plan.

We're all here, we're the Bathurst boys; and you can't hear Richo above the noise...

The same could be said for Paul Dumbrell, and he was cut, although Lownes was a good succession plan. I wonder if the following list still applies.

Jamie Whincup has bought a 15 percent stake in Triple Eight Race Engineering as he plans for his future beyond driving.

The seven-time Supercars champion joins Roland Dane, Tim Miles, Paul Dumbrell and Rolandís daughter Jessica as equity partners in the team.

I reckon where ever ADP is going, the deal is done already! If JW announces his pending retirement, almost certainly ADP will go to T8.....

Yep

but if Scotty gore and ADP is off the market, who is the best driver still on the market for 2021 now? Could we see him come back to Ford? I hope Roger throws him a MEGA offer, just to make him think and make Rollie have to pay heaps more to keep him

Not saying you're wrong but it's funny as hell reading that given the flack Ford got for "coming and going" throughout the series.

Who knew that Holden money was so magical that it single highhandedly propped up the series.

Ford fans be proud. History of Australian motor racing shows Ford has been and will always be superior. They have to slow them down when they get serious about racing. The Phase 4 scared the **** out of people, they banned it. Sierra gets called on a technicality, Falcon EF "...had its wings clipped to make Holden part of the show", AU not allowed to show it's potential, Falcon BF gets clipped. Mustang Is so good Supercars made up a rule and gets a bag of cement in the roof, and it still wins.

No other manufacturers are willing to join under its proposed outlook and there are plenty of one make series that will be much cheaper

Hang on, wasn't it you that said there were several manufactures lining up to join?

I wouldn't be surprised if GM's announcement re Holden continuing or not was known to inner circles and JDub & possibly ADP were holding off their announcements until they knew GM's outcome with Australia.

Now that Holden is leaving could we see a couple of posters made very happy with a field of 26 Fords in 202X Gen 3.

If Ford continue in Australia, that is. They face many of the same economic realities as GM/GMH.

Date corrected.

I would doubt that, I for one aren't interested in Formula Mustang. A brand protagonist was the basis of SC's and without that, it's going to wither.

Ford going the same way for 2021 is less likely, they are still very much involved in other RHD markets so i'd be surprised if we saw they withdraw from Aus and hence SC's in 2021.

A field of Mustangs all powered by, say, 5.2L Alluminator crate engines, would greatly simply parity considerations.
