I read an article about a new Motorsport Complex located at Brisbane Airport.
I cannot now find the article. Maybe it was released early and grabbed back. maybe I am just not very IT literate, IT being a relatively new invention.
It suggested extensive facilities and designed with Mark Skaife input.
It has been kept quiet as I live just over the Brisbane River and have heard nothing about it until today. The Airport precinct has some special federal Government exemption from Brisbane City Council permit requirements and they have a LOT of land. Noise should not be a problem. They have on-site Hotel and a lot more nearby. there is also a rail connection, although apparently relatively expensive.
I can only imagine a Brisbane near CBD circuit (only 4km, from 888, plus a revamped Ipswich Circuit and Lakeside and Warwick for clubbie stuff. Al;l we need is a Wagner Supercar level circuit at Toowoomba, or Brisbane West as they prefer to call it.
They need a very switched on promotion and management team.

Looks like a whole car experience type of thing, including car sales. Huge development. I do wonder what effects it will have on traffic out there though.
