A new year it is, men! Hopefully a good one, too.
Just some notice here that within the week I will be ginning up the 2022 V8CFL groupings and entrance portal. SVG will be in a class by himself to make the overall choices more proper. As noted on the Thoughts Thread, he will be used in more of a tipping comp capacity wherein you will have to choose where he finishes per race. Now this will be tough for that means you will have to note where you are tipping him each round. If one does NOT notify where they are tipping him, he will be placed in a random tip position by the V8CFL.
I see the sanctioning body has also changed the bonus points awarded for the sprint rounds. One must now finish in the Top 15 to collect from what I gather.
I am hoping TheArrow can come through with the media centre,
And lastly, there will be no Tournament as in years' past for with the constant changing of the Supercars rounds, as it looks like it will happen again this year, there is no way for the V8CFL to make a proper schedule.
Hope to see all back and maybe some new members enroll. Our 2021 Champion Helix is welcoming all comers!
All sounds good Mike!
Love the idea around SVG - great suggestion Kye.
2022 season has officially been launched. Please read the rules. We have an SVG tipping portion of the V8CFL this year.
Also, I took the liberty of "assuming" the numbers of Pither, Fullwood, and Heimgartner. If they change, I will change the signup/rules accordingly.
Bring a friend to the 2022 campaign, men!
I'm not going to bother with a livery of the year competition this year, I'm just going to hand the prize to Kye. That wins hands down.
Thanks for ginning up the Media Centre, Arrow.
One thing I realized is that when the first round hits in March, I am scheduled to be at work all weekend long! What a kick in the jimmies. I'll do my best to produce the goods as quickly as I can, however I still planning on watching quallies, shootouts, and races first.
A PM question came up with respect to the SVG Tipping portion of the 2022 V8CFL:
"I've read the rules and I'm not totally sure I understand the purpose? Are members tipping where he will place for the round overall?"
I have added a clarification in the Rules thread.
Good question. Glad it was asked. Do not hesitate to inquire with V8CFL Headquarters, located in SW Michigan. As I look out my window tonight, the wind is blowing hard and the snow is blasting sideways.

That livery by Kye this year is insane, i actually think that's probably one of the best I've seen full stop any year.
Just a general question tho, in the media section or i guess for any section, has the 800x800 pic limit been changed on this forum design?

No idea. I say just keep posting until laser or LG tells you that you have stepped over the touch line.
Maybe The Arrow knows? He is in charge. Yeah. Ask him!

I shot a PM to LG and laser to get the call on this picture size question, men. We'll go with what they say.

are we still in 2006? haha
Well, I have been asked to ensure the pictures are sized to a point where you do not require a slide bar across the bottom of the post, subsequently making the page "wider". The liveries in question are great, though, I must say. I have sent a PM to those applicable.
As for 2006... I wasn't here back then. I only got involved in late 2007 when the internet allowed me to watch Supercars flag-to-flag. My first race was one in Bahrain. I remember it well. Prior to that it was a race weekend crammed into a one hour time slot here in the States. Man, am I glad THOSE days are long gone. ;D

That's tricky as it depends on the screen. I can see images up to ~1450px wide without a slide bar appearing on my computer, while on my phone it's only around 600px.

As different from the V8CFL Team Registration, I see with the latest livery releases, Garry Jacobson will be in the 76 car vice the 22 and Chris Pither will be in the 22 vice the 19.
I will adjust the team registration as applicable. Thank you, PremiAir Racing. ::)

This has now been accomplished. Please check your rosters in Group D2 for accuracy.
Just a quick lookahead to the first round at SMP - weather permitting:
We have 13 teams so far this year. We might get more. If we do we do.
There are three teams that are identical in Groups A, B, and C.
23 Kalyara Racing Team Kytabu Ford Focus ST V8 11 25 2 9 3 20 55/8 96/76/4 1
25 Ain't Care Motorsports skaifeman Holden Commodore ZB 11 25 2 9 3 20 8/55 96/76/4 2
013 TAA Performance Jetpac-013 Ford Mustang V6TT 11 25 2 9 3 20 26/55 96/76/4 1
Of these three teams, two of them, Kalyara Racing Team and TAA Performance, have the same SVG tip. So until any of these rosters are changed, the Group D1 tiebreaker will decide the scoring for these two teams - essentially the 55 Car of Kalyara Racing Team and the 26 Car of TAA Performance. If the SVG tip is not used in a race, for example SVG finishes three places or greater away from the respective tips of all three teams, then Ain't Care Motorsports will make it a three-way Group D1 tiebreaker with their 8 Car.
Remember, the SVG tip is factored into the scoring PRIOR to any tiebreaker. 15, 9, or 3 points will be issued for any tips that score within two places of the tip.
If tied after that, we go to the Group D1 tiebreaker and subsequently the Group D2 tiebreaker if required. But in the end, the tiebreakers are very important this year. Heavy emphasis on them.
There are currently no other identical teams with respect to Groups A, B, and C, however that does not negate having to use a tiebreaker, dependent upon final points tally for the race.

Yes it will and yes I agree. I tweaked my D2 group just now.
Team registration is now closed for Round 1 at SMP. Rosters are locked.
Good luck to all and let us hope the season progresses somewhat close to schedule.
Round 1 Results are posted, gentlemen. Our rookie team of Ecurie Escargot has command of the table.
Race 1 Podium:
1 The Arrow Mazda Motorsport / TheArrow / Mazda6 GL
2 Bump and Run Racing / Troy01505 / Chevrolet Camaro HSV ZL1
3 R&K Motorsports / mikeamerica84 / Ford Mustang
Race 2 Podium:
1 Ecurie Escargot / stevo qld / Ford Mustang
2 A1 SimSports / V8SuperRiley / Holden Commodore ZB
3 Super Seven Racing Aotearoa / formerlyHolden51 / Toyota Camry SX
As for the Stewards Summary, all penalties were assessed during the races so there is no change in points as posted on the series/ website.
Check your points and see if you agree.
Ahhh.... it feels good to be underway, doesn't it guys? ;D
The Symmons Plains Round is approaching - this weekend. Remember, any and all roster changes must be submitted prior to Midnight Thursday Sydney, NSW time.
A quick review of the rules for roster changes:
A maximum of FOUR car changes (total/year) will be allowed in Groups A through C.
A maximum of TWO reshuffling changes (total/year) will be allowed in Groups D1 and D2. These are our two tiebreaking groups.
An UNLIMITED number of SVG tip changes for positions 1-24 will be allowed, but only tip one per round.
The deadline for Symmons Plains roster changes has passed. All rosters are now locked in for this round. There have been no changes.
Good luck to all. I pretty much have the weekend off so the results will be released quite timely. I will see you all when we meet on the other side of the checkers.
The Tassie Results are posted. However, I must point out that they are posted "with reserve". The Supercars website has yet to post any Round 2 results so I gathered the race results from Natsoft. I posted the Natsoft link at the bottom of the table.
With that, I am now creating a new thread for each round/round results. This way all can look back and see how the teams have progressed/degressed throughout the season.
The Holden camp of K-Miesta Motorsport, with kennymiesta calling the shots, has assumed the lead in the points after Symmons Plains. He is a rookie, also. Ecurie Escargot and stevo qld, our leaders going into Round 2, have slipped to second place.
Race 1 Podium:
1 Pepsi Max Racing / CP / Ford Mustang
2 A1 SimSports / V8SuperRiley / Ford Mustang
3 Ecurie Escargot / stevo qld / Ford Mustang
Race 2 Podium:
1 K-Miesta Motorsport / kennymiesta / Holden Commodore ZB
2 TAA Performance / Jetpac-013 / Ford Mustang V6TT
3 Kalyara Racing Team / Kytabu / Ford Focus ST V8
Race 3 Podum:
1 The Arrow Mazda Motorsport / TheArrow / Mazda6 GL
2 Pepsi Max Racing / CP / Ford Mustang
3 K-Miesta Motorsport / kennymiesta / Holden Commodore ZB
Note that this round five bonus points were awarded to the driver with the fastest race lap. That driver had to finish in the Top 15 to get the points. In Race 1, David Reynolds had fastest lap but finished outside of the Top 15. In Races 2 and 3, SVG took the points. However, in the V8CFL, he is not on any roster, only tipped, so the five extra points really did not come into play this round.
No post race penalties were levied by CAMS in the Stewards Summary.
I will keep my ear to the ground for the Supercars website to be updated. Perhaps our results might change, but I doubt it. Natsoft is more on the ball than the actual series, IMO.
Next up: The AGP at Albert Park. Remember the rules for changing your rosters. Feel free to exercise said changes should you desire. Make all changes on the Team Registration thread.
The Supercars website is slowly coming about here on Wednesday morning. They have posted the Race 1 Results from Tassie. Races 2 and 3 are still AWOL. I did get the Race 1 Results accurate, thanks to Natsoft.
Just an update.
Honestly, I would just use NatSoft and not bother with the Supercars site. NatSoft results go up within 15 minutes and any penalties are updated promptly. Supercars' results come from NatSoft timing anyway.
Nice to get a podium after a shocking start to the year!
On a different note, qually for the AGP is Thursday. Hence all team roster changes must be submitted prior to MIDNIGHT WEDNESDAY, Sydney, NSW time.
This is for the AGP round only.
The deadline for AGP team roster changes has passed. Rosters are locked in.
Good luck to all.
Let me have a few hours to digest the AGP quattro. Crompo noted early on in Race 1 that we were racing for 100 points per race. It is only 75 per. The Supercars website has confirmed that.
Then SVG was talking 5 points more for fast lap in one of the races post race. Todd Hazelwood was going for it in Race 4 of the weekend I thought that was only for the three race sprint rounds and not this four race special sprint round.
Give me a day to dissect the points as posted by supercars.com and balance that with respect to our V8CFL points. We here at V8CFL Headquarters, located on the northern perimeter of Stevensville, MI USA strive for accuracy. Our policy is we do not deal with idiots. We only deal with facts.
Results will be presented w/i the next day.
Facts, Kye? ;D
That all seems pretty factual other than the part about not dealing with idiots. I'm sure everyone on the team roster has been idiotic at some point ;D.
I will have to dust off the calculator, Kye. This could take a little time. Hope you did better than I in the results.
Looks like five points were given out for the fastest lap in each of the four races. However, only Race 4 mattered. Todd Hazelwood grabbed an extra five and finished 14th.
In the other races: Race 1 was Will Brown, but he finished outside the Top 15. Race 2 was SVG - he won. Race 3 was Scott Pye but he was dead last. So, with SVG the only other bonus points winner, for our purposes he is only used in the tipping comp. Todd H is the only one that made a diff.
Round Results to be released later today. Thanks for your patience.
AGP Results are posted. As noted in the previous post, five points WERE awarded for the fastest lap in each race, however in Races 1 and 3, the drivers with the fastest laps finished outside the Top 15 so no bonus points. In Race 2 SVG got the extra points and in Race 4 Todd Hazelwood got them.
All points penalties/time penalties were levied in the races and are noted in the Stewards Summary. The WAU team points penalty is not recognized by the V8CFL for that was pre-race and did not affect anything in the race itself.
Podiums:
Race 1:
1 WOFTAM Racing / Professor / Holden Commodore ZB
2 Super Seven Racing Aotearoa / formerlyHolden51 / Toyota Camry SX
3 R&K Motorsports / mikeamerica84 / Ford Mustang
Race 2:
1 Pepsi Max Racing / CP / Ford Mustang
2 Super Seven Racing Aotearoa / formerlyHolden51 / Toyota Camry SX
3 R&K Motorsports / mikeamerica84 / Ford Mustang
Race 3:
1 Bump and Run Racing / Troy01505 / Chevrolet Camaro HSV ZL1
2 R&K Motorsports / mikeamerica84 / Ford Mustang
3 K-Miesta Motorsport / kennymiesta / Holden Commodore VF
Race 4:
1 R&K Motorsports / mikeamerica84 / Ford Mustang
2 Super Seven Racing Aotearoa / formerlyHolden51 / Toyota Camry SX
3 Ecurie Escargot / stevo qld / Ford Mustang
R&K Motorsports, by standing on all four podiums this round, including a win in Race 4, has assumed the points lead. I think it is my first time atop the table ever. I am mildly surprised. A long way to go still.
Next up - Western Australia and Wanneroo Raceway at the end of the month.
yeah Mike, top of the tree at moment, good work mate
Thanks, Helix. I have been mentored by you in years past on getting to the top for you are the Edmund Hillary of the V8CFL. Your aero paint job on my car has paved the way. I am sure a shunt is forthcoming, though.
On a different note for all, when it comes to tiebreakers, remember that a car has to be scored to be included in the tiebreaker. If a car scores a goose egg, it is thrown out. This happened this past round in one race.
I have added a change log to the bottom of the Current/Approved Teams thread. This way all can look at how many changes they have used up.

ALLLLL - RIGHT!
We are headed next to Wanneroo...... Barbagallo..... Perth...... WA...... whatever we wish to call it these days.
Jetpac-013 and skaifeman have tweaked their rosters in an attempt to achieve optimum success. The rest of us have a few more days to do so.
Everyone's pride is on the line - whether you are on top or on the bottom. Remember, Without Fantasy, Life is Simply Life.
You only go around once in life, so you better grab for all of the gusto you can. Go for the GUSTO!
Midnight Thursday Sydney, NSW time is the deadline.
Past the deadline for Wanneroo. All rosters are locked in for the round with the only changes being the aforementioned. Good luck.
100 points to the winner of each race and five bonus points for the fastest lap of each race provided said driver finishes in the Top 15.
No more wondering about the points breakdown....
Wanneroo Results are posted. K-Miesta Motorsport has now taken over the points lead! The Arrow Mazda Motorsport gets on all three podiums and wins Race 3!
Race 1 Podium:
1 A1 SimSports / V8SuperRiley / Ford Mustang
2 The Arrow Mazda Motorsport / TheArrow / Mazda6 GL
3 Pepsi Max Racing / CP / Ford Mustang
Race 2 Podium:
1 R&K Motorsports / mikeamerica84 / Ford Mustang

Race 3 Podium:
1 The Arrow Mazda Motorsport / TheArrow / Mazda6 GL
2 K-Miesta Motorsport / kennymiesta / Holden CommodoreVF
3 TAA Performance / Jetpac-013 / Ford Mustang V6TT
As for the Stewards Summary, all penalties were dished out during the race/after the race and are reflected in the final points tallies. As for the fastest lap of each race, the natsoft website is askew today. I cannot get to the Wanneroo results. I am going with the premise that SVG was fastest in Races 1 and 3 and Andre Heimgartner in Race 2. This is what was presented during the televised broadcasts. The five extra points for SVG does not play into the V8CFL scoring for he is a tip. For Andre, he is in Group D1 - Tiebreakers. So this does not play into the scoring either.
If natsoft does update their website and I am incorrect, I will recalculate the points - if required.
Next up: Winton. See you there!
The natsoft race results website is back up and running. I was correct in my previous post with respect to fastest laps. The results are now hereby official.
http://racing.natsoft.com.au/results/#2
Getting us all back together here..... Winton is fast approaching. Jetpac013, Helix, and TheArrow have all submitted roster changes for this round. A little more than a day left to submit YOURS.
Team rosters are locked in for Winton as the deadline has passed. I have the weekend off so results should be fairly prompt - minus the time diff between here and you.
Good luck to all as K-Miesta Motorsport heads the table headed into Winton.
I'd love some more results like the previous round, please.
Winton Results are up. I hope they satisfy you, Arrow. :D
K-Miesta Motorsport has extended their lead in the table with their Holden Commodore VF. The Arrow Motorsport is now second with Ecurie Escargot right behind.
Race 1 Podium
1 Super Seven Racing Aotearoa / formerlyHolden51 / Toyota Camry SX

3 WOFTAM Racing / Professor / Holden Commodore ZB
Race 2 Podium

We will head North to Darwin in a few weeks. We'll see what happens there. I am sure there will be some roster shuffling prior to. Me included.
Please check your results and point tally. There were no post race penalties. As for fastest lap time in each race, it was Reynolds, Courtney, and SVG respectively. The first and last do not factor into the points tally, but in Race 2, Shogun Autosport picked up the extra 5 markers as they have JC on their roster now - the only team that does. AND they won Race 2! Coincidence?
It's tight out there!! only 129 points from first to 8th..

I have added a bit more clarity to the roster change log wherein I have actually noted the exact changes members have made throughout. Wish I would have thought of this sooner, but the managing a high-level organization like the V8CFL is a learning experience. ;D
It has been a few weeks since Winton, but the show will go on this weekend up at the top.
Let us all now start to get back onboard our ship as we set sail for Darwin and remember that all changes have to be submitted prior to THURSDAY MIDNIGHT, SYDNEY, NSW time. As of right now, we have four camps that have submitted roster changes:
Ain't Care Motorsports / Group B - 1 change: 2 out, 99 in
R&K Motorsports / Group B - 1 change: 2 out, 88 in / Group D1 - reshuffle: 55/56 out, 26/10 in
A1 SimSports / Group B - 1 change: 9 out, 88 in / Group D1 - reshuffle: 10/55 out, 10/26 in
TAA Performance / Group B - 2 changes: 2 out, 5 in; 9 out, 88 in
On a non-V8CFL note, I have to work the weekend so the results will not be as prompt as the past couple of rounds. I should have them out by Monday evening my time, which will be Tuesday morning your time(s). I have to watch qually and the races myself prior to, you know. THAT is why we all are here.
In the meantime, hot, humid, and balmy here in the Midwest, for Summer is just around the corner as your Winter season is about to kick off.
Cheers.
The Hidden Valley deadline has passed. All team rosters are locked in for the weekend.
As always, good luck to all! If anyone is at the race, please post pictures! See you on the other side of the checkers!
Sneakin' up that ladder..
Yes you are, Riley. It is getting//staying tight at the pointy end AND the dull end.
I will have this weekend off so the results should be fairly prompt post-round.
Sending out the beacon for all to return to the ship as we sail to Townsville, check your rosters. Many changes can be made. Feel free to exercise said changes. You have until Midnight Thursday Sydney, NSW time to make tweaks prior to Townsville. After that time, rosters will be locked in and the bell will sound.

Thanks, skaifey! The number change slipped past me. I will correct as necessary on the Team Rosters thread.
Update - all corrected.
Townsville Results are up. The Arrow Mazda Motorsport had two fifth place finishes to hold serve in the table, but A1 SimSports is coming fast.

As for the Stewards Summary, all penalties were levied either during the race or post race with a time penalty (Car 11 in Race 2). Other than that, it was pretty much straight up.
I am now going on holiday starting tomorrow but I will still be checking in periodically.
Next up - Tailem Bend. See you all then.
Just a quick reminder - only a couple of days left to submit roster changes for The Bend.
The window for Tailem Bend rosters changes has now closed. Only one change was submitted - mine.
I have the weekend off (for now) and if that keeps, the round results should be out fairly prompt.
Good luck to all as we continue to chase The Arrow Mazda Motorsport camp.
Tailem Bend Results are posted.

Just a quick lookahead to the Sandown weekend, which is looming in the forefront of our racing league.
A sprint round wherein five bonus points will be given to the victor in each race.
Also, I have to work the night shift this WHOLE weekend so results will be out mid-weekish, or so.
One of my favorite rounds. I hope it stays but as I am hearing it is on the ropes.
As always, Midnight Thursday Sydney time is the witching hour for roster changes.
It is past the witching hour for Sandown roster changes. All rosters are hereby locked in. The borders have been secured. The hatches battened down. The gangplank has been lifted. The jail door closed.
You get the idea.
Only changes for this round: The Arrow Mazda Motorsport.
Good luck to all. Results will be delayed until ~ mid-week.
Spoilers but it's absolute peak Arrow Motorsport to drop a driver only for them to have their best weekend all season and the driver you replaced them with to have an absolute shocker...

A1 SimSports increases their points lead over the rest of the field by 22 more markers.
No post race penalties from the Stewards Summary. All punishment was dished out during the races.
Fastest laps for five extra bonus points: Car 88, Car 97, and Car 17 for Races 1, 2, and 3 respectively.
Next up - Pukekohe.
I had a terrible round, but I'll take the extra 22 points ;D
1000 pardons, Kye! I just realized that Kalyara Racing Team ALSO scored their first "W" of 2022!
Riley, you are in the grooooove right now..... 8)
Thanks Mike! Nice to finally have a decent weekend.

Thanks Mike! Nice to finally have a decent weekend.
I scored a win in Race 3, too, Kye. I am not mentioning that I was dead last in Race 1, though. Me and the cats celebrated our win in the backyard grilling pucks (hamburgers).
Using Kingsford Charcoal, of course.
Thanks for the livery, Helix. It worked.
Getting us all back together here..... we will be making a trip across the Tasman Sea to Pukekohe this weekend. Could be the last race there. Of course, it could have been the last race at Sandown. We thought the last race in Adelade was run and it came BACK, so who knows WHAT the future holds. All I do know is we will be there in NZ this weekend.
I have already made a change for the round. Feel free to do so also, gents.
Past the Midnight witching hour for Pukekohe. All rosters are locked in.
Have a great weekend, gents.
Pukekohe Results are up:
SVG took all three fast times. Stewards Summary states all penalties were applied during the races.

As much as I love the track, it pretty much cost me the 2017 championship and it definitely hasn't helped me this year either.
Mike on the move, lets go R&K, be tough hunting down Riley but the hunt is on.

Thanks for the support. My boys stayed off of the fences and out of the wall this round. :)
Looking ahead to Bathurst, the points scoring/tally will differ from the previous rounds. The most points any Supercars team can score will be 300. Remember, this will be a one race round.
For V8CFL scoring, cutting and pasting from the rules:
Each race will be scored for points. For non-enduro rounds Group A through C cars (six cars) count for points. Groups D1 & D2 will not.
For Bathurst, all eleven cars (Groups A - D2) will be scored.
Just a heads-up as to what we are looking at come race day.
For the sake of argument and the way the rules have been drawn up for 2022, it will not be allowed to "write-in" a car/team for Bathurst in either Group D1 or D2. This means teams like Stanaway/Murphy, Chahda/Robotham, etc., cannot be added to your roster.
As for tiebreakers, we will use the same formula for Bathurst. From the rules:
All ties will be broken using the following formula:
1) Highest finishing first chosen Group D1 car (points-wise) in race.
2) If tied, highest finishing second chosen Group D1 car (points-wise) in race.
3) If the applicable Group D1 cars do NOT break the tie (cars in the same order), Group D2 cars will be used in the same manner.
4) If tied after both Group D1 and D2 (both groups identical and in the same order) the highest finishing car in Groups A, B, or C will break the tie.
So your Group D cars will eb doing "double duty" this round. Especially D1.

I think my going up the ladder had more to do with other teams getting blasted with goose eggs due to big shunts - like Anton's Will Brown's, and Courtney's. I was lucky enough to avoid them. But that is racing.
For Bathurst, the Group Ds will be scored. D2 only had four cars to choose from and each team has three of them. That is pretty watered down. But D1 has five cars and you only choose two. That will be the group to watch. Everyone might want to give a long eye to Group D1 this round, AND you have to factor in who are the co-drivers.
Okay, men. The big one is this weekend. Rain shortened or not.
I have to work Saturday-Sunday-Monday. I will not get to watch The Great Race until Tuesday. This will put me early Wednesday your time. The results will be tallied immediately post-race. I hope to get them out by Wednesday evening/Thursday morning Oz time at the latest.
However.... you guys can do a straw tally yourself by going to http://racing.natsoft.com.au/results/#2 and clicking on the Circuit Racing link.
Now, NEXT year I will be retired and I can devote my full time to the race results. Not from the V8CFL but from my profession of 44 years.
But that will be NEXT year. :)
Remember - all eleven cars on your rosters will be scored this round.
The time for Bathurst roster changes has now passed. All 13 rosters are locked in.
Super Seven Racing Aotearoa/formerlyHolden51 & R&K Motorsports/mikeamerica84 are the only teams with changes.
Remember that we also have the Enduro Cup to fight for this round.
Good luck to all, enjoy the race, no matter how wet it might get, and as always, I'll see you sometime next week on the other side of the checkers. I am signing off until then to avoid spoliers.
Spoilers for those that haven't watched it yet but Oof I think Bathurst has just wiped me out of the championship hunt.
Edit: having a very rough look at who has who (basically just the top 4 of each team) and I think our Tsar himself might be in with a shot at the gold. Having both 6 and 25, along with 88 and 99... could be the winning combo.

There was an error with respect to the placings on the table. The points were accurate, but the order of 3-4-5 was incorrect. It has since been corrected.
Thanks for your patience this week, men. I was on the wrong side of working this weekend + Monday and got a late start on watching the great race and tallying the points.

Job well done, Riley! I made a few roster tweaks prior to. It was my last ditch effort to try and pull up to you, but when the 8 car went down right off the bat I knew I was going to be screwed. Smith binning the 4 car late was the final nail in my coffin. :-[

Thanks!
I've had a big turnaround this year looking back.
I was p9 in the Championship and 118 points from the lead at the end of round 3, to now be leading and 158 points clear after round 11. I got my first race win in round 4, and now have 7 on the board.
As Riley continues to lead the V8CFL pack, we are now headed to the Gold Coast and the street course that has been known to devour cars at a moment's notice.
This will be a two race weekend/round. Take a scan at your rosters and adjust as necessary, men.
I am working the whole weekend and will get hot on watching the action and tallying the points starting Sunday eve when I get home from work. Results will be out Monday my time - Tuesday morning your time.
All roster changes must be in by MIDNIGHT THURSDAY, SYDNEY, NSW TIME to take effect for the Gold Coast round.
The Gold Coast deadline has passed. Rosters are locked in. Good luck, men.

All penalties were levied during the race with the exceptions of post race team point penalties for the 20 and 31 cars, which were not part of the points mix this round for they are in the lower groups.
The biggest penalty is the DQ of the 11 car in Race 2.
One last round. The points battle has tightened between A1 SimSports and R&K Motorsports. V8SuperRiley was quoted post race as saying, "I wish they hadn't added Adelaide."
mikeamerica84 was quoted as saying, "I am glad they added Adelaide."

You read my bloody mind.. That round hurt.
We are coming up on the last round of the year, gentlemen. It looks like a two horse race with A1SimSports showing the way over my own R&K Motorsports. I PM'd V8SuperRiley and he has taken it upon himself to NOT make any changes for this round and dance with the ones he brought to the party. I tip my hat to him in this show of sportsmanship.
Ain't Care Motorsports has made some changed for the Adelaide. This is the only camp to do so at this point. As for the rest of you, feel free to roll the dice. You never know what might turn up.
Deadline for changes is, as always, MIDNIGHT THURSDAY SYDNEY, NSW time.

I forgot I made changes, but I'll stick with whatever train of thought I had at the time!
Team rosters are now locked in for Adelaide. The title comes down to A1SimSports and R&K Motorsports. The only difference in rosters (vice a tiebreaker) is A1SimSports has the 11 car while R&K Motorsports has the 25 car - but a bit of ground to make up. Results should be out Tuesday-ish USA time.
Good luck to all in this last go of 2022!
Off for the next four days, men. Give me about 24 hours to watch the Adelaide weekend and the results will be posted.
As always on tight weekends wherein I have to work, thanks for your patience. However, on 15/1/23 I will be retiring and able to devote my FULL TIME to the V8CFL! ;)
Happy retirement.

As for the Championship, R&K Motorsports comes from slightly behind to pip A1 SimSports by 34 markers. Ain't Care Motorsports vaults to third overall, despite not claiming a victory this season.
My first championship. :)
We'll see you all at the post race banquet over at Helix's house. I am sure he will give you directions.
Well done Mike, winning these ain't easy.
Hoping there's a burnout out the front of Helix's house by midnight 8).

He told me food and drinks are on him, too!
One thing I forgot to mention is the Stewards Summary. The 35 car was penalized 30 points post race in Race 2 for the air hose/water container debacle. That was reflected in the scoring. This knocked K-Meista Motorsport down from a tie for the win, which they would have NOT prevailed via the tiebreaker, to a third place finish in the race.
I should have taken you up on that offer to change Mike haha..
Race one hurt me..
Live by the sword, die by the sword haha, and I chose that sword haha.
Awesome season again, and an amazing job as always Mike. I really appreciate what you do here, as I'm sure we all do.

haha i just moved into a new house which is why ive been quiet for a while, i hope this is the last time for a long time.
upside is i have alot of room for activities now and and the road i live on is a bout 3ks of straight flat road so burnouts and drags are a possibility, if we dont get shot by the neighbours lol.
massive congratulations Mike firstly on the well deserved championship, number 1 on the door next season, no more 084. secondly on your retirement , i hope the next few years you will find your groove in retired life and maybe even find your way down under for a race.
congrats to riley for a hard fought year, always near the top and hard to beat. congrats to skaifeman for your podium.
another enjoyable year , numbers might have been down a little but the usual suspects come to play and a couple new faces i hope will stick around, lets gooooo 2023.

I'll elaborate on what Riley is talking about:
I was out of roster changes. He had quite a few left. Other than the tiebreakers, the only difference between our teams was he had ADP and I had Chaz. Had Riley switched out ADP for Chaz he could have iced me and left it up to the tiebreakers. We would have then finished only one position apart and I would not have been able to make up the points difference even if I had won both races.
But Riley decided to take the gentleman's/sportsman's route and hold his cards (i.e. ADP). The miscommunications between he and his DJR crew to pit put ADP way back, and that was that.
So, hats off to Riley for being a good sport and giving me a crack at it. ;D
As for all of the thanks, you guys are more than welcome. I enjoy doing this. In a few weeks I'll start a thread for the 2023 season and we can all toss ideas out on the table as to how to possibly improve our product. One thing I do wish to bring back is the Tournament. That got knocked sideways after 2020 and the calendar changes for the Supercars.
Great series once again, congrats Mike on your first title win 8)
I think swapping 25 for 17 really hurt me in the long run and I should have stuck to what I had... :'(
But that's that and lets see what next year brings ;)
Next year, I will have to try a few roster changes. After leading the series (OK, after 1st event), I went from rooster to feather duster over the year.
Great series. Thanks Mike.
When does my wooden spoon arrive?
