I vaguely remember on the old forum there was a thread for sharing photos of your car.
As a motoring enthusiast, I'm sure others would agree, I'd love to see photos of your cars. Daily drivers, weekenders, race cars, all of the above.
I'll kick us off:

2009 Mazda3 MPS. I've had it for about 2 and a half years (bought it in Feb 2020, right before COVID hit).
With all the negativity it gets for the (overly criticised) torque steer, which isn't anywhere near as bad as everyone says, it is actually a super fun car to drive.
Feel free to share your cars too!

My little beast. I watched Mostert throwing an RS around the Mountain at the 6 Hour in 2017 and finally got my hands on one in 2020. Two years of ownership and still brings on a smile every time I look at her ;D.

Be glad to show off my every day road car. A 2007 Pontiac Vibe (Toyota Matrix re-badged). I "inherited" it from my wife, Sue, when she upgraded earlier in the year. I always seem to get the hand-me-downs and make them last as long as I can.

Currently 243,000+ miles / 391,000+ kilometers.
Pontiac - a make no more.
This is my absolute pride and joy, my 1980 Mk2 Ford Escort with the might YB Cosworth Turbo engine.
Have owned it for 10 years now, and it's massively different to the day i bought it. 8)

Massive thanks to Kytabu for the images last time out at the track LEGEND! :D
A shout out to The Arrow for starting this thread! Great job! I am sure we will get some great responses.

I was at Sydney Dragway which is now Australia's best drag strip. ;)
ha! I don't even remember how to post a pic in here... if I ever knew? if anyone wants to help out I found an online pic, nope, I don't even have any pics of my own car that I can think of but if you've seen one Commie, you've seen them all...
Blue 2009 VE Berlina... over 250,000km on the clock and still purring along nice enough.
My 2013 Corolla, not really to show off though :) This was taken up Mount Ruapehu a few years ago.

The Bloopcraft when he was clean. After a seriously damp winter and a trip away he's truly in need of another clean & polish.
Great timing for the thread as it's time to wish him a happy 20th birthmonth. Honda Civic Ferio originally registered in Japan in Sept 2002. Then set sail for New Zealand at age 7, before I found him another 5½ years later (to replace an old 1992 Honda Civic that was originally my mother's). Probably the most brilliant value-for-money purchase I've made in my life.
It's nice having a small engine and being able to put the pedal to the metal without much contest to the road rules. Even with that I get about 37 miles per gallon (https://www.v8central.com/index.php?topic=49.0), Mike. ;D

I also noticed when my phone was on 73% battery as I put it in my pocket at 10:37am in advance of a long drive home yesterday. At one point I was following a car with 37 being the number on its plate. I just hope I don't go too bonkers like Jim Carrey in the film The Number 23 which I watched recently!
My BMW 435i. Having only 2 doors is a pain in the butt, but looks so much better than the sedan....except for an M3. Still dreaming.

That car was basically a one owner, my son bought it about 2 years ago from a 90 yo gent who bought it when it was 18 months old, an ex-company vehicle
It did have rust in all the usual places, the old fella would wash it then park it in the shed, allowing to water to sit where you don't want it - that was the car when my son first got it
My son put a set of rims we used on the race car on it for that photo, it did come with original wheels. I think it it is a S Pack
It has since been stripped bare, had all the rust repaired and been repainted in the original colour, all the original furniture is going back in, the instrument cluster will be changed to a 6 gauge, not a 4 gauge. It will be a 4 speed not an auto. My son hunted and was able to purchase an original 'manual' centre console for it

This is my current project, 1978 TE Cortina being built for drag racing with a Barra turbo engine. Have done as much as i can myself with my old man but its currently at the fab shop getting some of the major work done.

racing is a shed load of fun, obviously we did only circuit racing, and the old girl was using about 65 litres per 100k's ;D ;D

Right hand drive aside, the one thing that got my attention here, Trev, is which side the awning is on with respect to your trailer. Like RHD, totally opposite of here in the States.

we have had a bit weather in the high country like that here Mike, my son (who owns the red XE) spent a week seconded with work on top of Mt Buller and got snowed on at the start of November, remember summer here starts December 1
Add to that the record floods we are having here on the east coast - it has been a difficult year

A bit odd it is, Trev - that late Spring snow.
On the bright side, maybe global warming has been put on hold for a while.
How do you post pics from phone? Mine are to large apparently
One option: use an app on your phone to resize a copy of the photo down to 1024 pixels wide (anything bigger isn't so easy for other phone users to look at here). Then upload to Imgur (https://imgur.com) and find the 'Get share links' option to get the BBCode to copy to your post here. Some other image upload websites let you resize after upload, but Imgur is pretty robust.

Nice
We recently bought another car to add to the fleet, a 1987 Ford Fairmont. The intention was to buy this new one and to sell the 1997 Fairmont Ghia, but the prices are a bit sh!t at the moment, then The Minister for War & Finance's car went in for some repairs and she was driving the Ghia around and SHE decided we should keep it, so we now have 5 registered cars for the 2 of us, 3 on club rego and 2 on normal rego, all are Fords except for her Mazda 3
This is a one owner local car, belonged to a Nonno, it has been parked in a shed since 2014, it has done 150,000 k's. It has been sheded it whole life, ol' Nonno drove it to the shops then put it back in the shed. I picked it up as it belonged to some relation of my daughter-in-laws (she is half Italian)

What a find Trev!
On one hand you have probably the best starting base for a project.
On the other, just keep it original, put it in D and drive away. The thing is immaculate - very cool.
What's the old 4.1 do fuel economy wise?

What's the old 4.1 do fuel economy wise?
It will be staying original, not lowering or putting other wheels, nothing. It is too good to muck with. One of the big attractions was the fact it is a Fairmont, not a base model, better radio (which works fine), electric boot release, electric fuel cover (rear number plate holder), better furniture, extra lights and speakers, etc
We couldn't believe it when we saw, it is like it had been in a time capsule. The daughter of the original owner (in her 70's) who we bought it from got it cut and polished, water pump, trans serviced, a few new front end bits and pieces. They paid for the roadworthy. We got the air con re-gassed, got the front end aligned and new tyres, tryes on it were dated 2010 and the spare was 1987.
We have driven it about 200 k's since we got it and haven't checked fuel economy - sorry

I'd be doing the same - keeping it as is. Bloody great example.
There's something about those old Italians. I have a similar story (albeit a little newer model).
Picked up my partners Nonno's WL Statesman (2005) in mid-2020.
Standard Alloytec, original 16's (including original untouched spare - as is your case), leather, all the Statesman bells and whilstles etc, fully logbooked Holden service history. 40,000km.
Initially when he offered it to me, I was hesitant to buy a 'boat' - as they're commonly known. Then I hopped in and thing still smelt like new leather. So I kept it in the family, for a great deal too. Those Italians, hey.
I have gone and put a set of Caprice 17" wheels on it, from the same model, but they came 8" wide, opposed to the 7.5" on the standard 16's. And I couldn't help myself, also did the black head/foglight upgrade that came with the Caprice too. Oh... I also took the mudflaps off :).
Being a boat, it teaches you lessons too. Too hot into a corner and it really burns you on the way out, with understeer and no power.

they are well known for rust, we can't find any on this one, even had a panel beater look at it. The plenum in front of the windscreen is the worst place for rust - nothing, but I will be making the drain homes bigger and spraying some stuff around in there, gotta pull the guards off to access the drains, but it will be worth it

For those that remember our orange XE racecar, this is the new variant of it, we sold the body, my son bought this off an 90 yo bloke, it had some rust in the usual places that had to be fixed, he did a full respray in the original colour and ALL the running gear from the race car is now transplanted into this, from the diff & suspension right through to the radiator. He got the heads redone, put roller rockers and a few other bits on it and it is now a Sunday cruiser ;D,
