I'm thinking Ludo kicked your dog.
So what if he did.
I reckon the team around him building new cars is what makes him so good, how many all new builds has he gone through now?
2013 - Come out flying getting Triple 8 a championship 1-2
2018 - come out flying getting Penske the championship victory and car clipped back to an even footing.
2023 with no Penske and no Triple 8 has seen a disastrous start to the season when even Tickford came out fighting.
Don't get me wrong, the bloke has achieved some big things but DJR seem to be slowly slipping back to a lower budget team, this leads to fewer resources, lower quality personnel around you etc, etc.
Maybe that's why he hit Triple 8 up for a return gig.
Ludo is a clever racing brain, but so are/were Harry Firth, John Sheppard, Neal Lowe, Frank Gardner, Pat Purcell, Jim Stone, Larry Perkins, Les Small, Geoff Grech, Mark Dutton, Jeromy Moore, Campbell Little, Crusty Holloway et al... all had truly great moments, and their share of less-stellar ones too... and they didn't do it alone. A group of people all standing around looking to one messianistic figure to lead them to the Promised Land, or Victory Lane or whatnot, hasn't been all that historically successful... so who's who in the DJR zoo these days?
Is it just Ludo and a busload of Jawas?
