Repco Supercars Championship / Burgess done for DUI

Partly blames Gen 3 for his troubles. Ironic, if he did his job instead of palming it off, it might not have been so stressful.

Surprised with no conviction recorded, given he lied to police.

Supercars looks to be sitting on the fence so far. Probably waiting to see if there is any public backlash.

Repco Supercars Championship / SVG Future
November 06, 2022, 01:07:03 PM
Shane wants to see if Gen 3 is boring before thinking about moving on from Supercars.

Scotty would like to see him in Indycar. I would too, I have given Indycar a bit more attention since SM entered the series.

My thoughts are he is stuck in Supercars though. Unlike McLaughlin, SVG is not being groomed for another category.  He'd have to start from the bottom and I don't think he has the mentality to do that. Shane is great when he leading with a car that can do what he wants with it. But when he knows he has no chance, he gives up. By that I mean chasing a championship, not individual races.

Repco Supercars Championship / Jamie Whincup

Staring at the keyboard, struggling to articulate what I want to say.

Jamie Whincup (The Supercar Driver) There is probably a stat somewhere to say otherwise. IMHO no driver in ATCC history has remained at the top for pretty much their entire SC career. T8 became the powerhouse they are because of him.

Still proud of the Bathurst 3-peat, breaking the 8 year Ford drought at the Mountain with Lowndes.  Still proud of the all out desire that sunk some Holden wins ;)

I bleed blue but have respect for the greats regardless of brand. It was a pleasure to watch the rise of Whincup through the golden years of Supercars. I won't begrudge him another win, one last time. (SVG on the other hand. May he burn in hell*  :P ;)  )

* = Disclaimer - AlbertM does not literally want SVG to burn in hell. Mechanical failure or stuck in a stand trap is acceptable.

Question. How is Team Sydney getting to Townsville?
