There is another SpeedSeries event at SMP which is Sydney Motorsport Park 1, but without TCR on the schedule.

Were there five bonus points awarded to the fastest lap getters this round?  Crompo and Skaifey were harping on fastest laps all weekend.

Kye?  I need you right now, my friend.  :)
Not for this event, no.

Interesting coincidence; when we thought SVG was leaving back in 2012 he had a double DNF on the streets of Olympic Park. Now he is actually leaving he has had a double DNF on the streets of Adelaide. They were only two multi-race events of his Supercars career where he failed to score points.

Barry has the same concerns that I do.
They should want to win by 168 points as Brodie would have been 18 points worse off (5th instead of 3rd in Race 1) in addition to SVG having an extra 150.

If Brodie and Erebus do manage to take both championships, it will be the first time since 2005 that Triple Eight have not had the leading driver for their brand of car in the drivers' championship, and have not been the leading team for their brand in the teams' championship.

What happened to Thomas Randle at the end of Race 2?  He plummeted down the list.
I don't think we got to see what caused it but the camera caught him coming across the line with right-rear suspension damage just before Feeney took the flag. My guess would be a touch of the barrier exiting the hairpin or wheel-to-wheel contact with another car with a few laps to go.

Seems like they want to do a rolling start to address the fire situation???

How does a standing start cause a fire??? more like an attempt to calm the race down a bit to get a full race in, how many green flag racing has there been?
The cars generate a lot of heat standing still on the grid, which can cause a component to fail and then start a fire later in the lap. We've seen chaos on rolling starts in the past so it's not a ploy to get a full race in. Although, I find it interesting that there were no issues in Newcastle where it was much hotter.

Between the podiums being changed by penalties, the wet race declaration affecting the pit stop requirements, and the ongoing issues with Gen3, it's been one absolute shambles of a weekend.

With Kostecki under investigation as well we could end up with the whole podium being changed.

Have a feeling this won't be the final podium; it looked like Courtney hit the back of Waters into Turn 1 and caused the incident with Reynolds.

I thought Jones and Frosty were on to something there but would need to read the pit window rules again. Although in the past an SC at the start has usually pushed the pit window further anyway.

Just wanted to mention Scotty Mac and his teammates picking up the LMP2 class win and an outright podium at the 12 Hours of Sebring.

It was a crazy finish with the outright top three coming together and going out of the race with twenty minutes remaining.

Chaz's livery is probably my favourite with the blue highlights.

Love the PremiAir and MSR cars too.

Does anyone know when the T8 appeal will be heard? I think they mentioned during the telecast that it had to be done within 3 days.
In the lead-up to the Grand Prix it seems.

NatSoft is correct. They initially had the same NC glitch where every car with a race time over two hours was listed as not classified. They fixed this at some point on Sunday but obviously Supercars never fixed their site.
